The M2/3 BFV/CFV did enter service until 1983...THIS I know because I was an M2 gunner in the second line BN to be trained on them... Alpha Co., 2nd BN 41st Inf Bradley, 1st Tiger BDE, 2AD, Ft. Hood, Texas, 6/83-1/85, ReForGer '84...

Griffin lll, is not based on the GD Ajax. Rather both the Ajax and Griffin family that includes the Griffin l (Early Proof Of Concept), Griffin ll (M-10 MPF), and Griffin lll OMFV, are both based on the ASCOD ll. Based but not the same, the Griffin ll (M-10) and Griffin lll (OMFV) are wider, longer use different transmissions, engines, and utilize hydropneumatic in-arm suspension.

I read where the Ajax based vehicles made crews and infantry ride alongs sick due to the noise and ride. Can anyone speak to this?

@@duncanidaho2097 the Ajax is a British specific vehicle, uses the same MTU V8 and renk 256b transmission as the ASCOD, the same torsion bar suspension minis the rotary dampers and with Swedish made steel (the same as used on the CV90). The American version of the Gd ASCOD, the M10 Booker and Griffin lll, utilizes ATI 500-MIL armor steel Specialty Armor Steel made by Allegheny Technologies Incorporated. 3040 MX cross-drive Allison Transmission and Detroit Diesel 1,075HP MTU V8 and Horstman Inc., Sterling Heights (MI) in arm hydropneumatic suspension. So their are significant differences between the 3 variants.

The C 90 is battle proven and "right sized/weighted" for theBig Army's needs. It gets my vote. Who wants the noisy and unreliable British Ajax chassis? Well, theBrits I guess.

Seems everyone uses AI voice. You can tell when they mispronounce words and sometimes pause at the end of a margin.
