IN MY DREAMS GUITAR SOLO - DOKKEN (WITH TABS)
Thought it was about time i tackled this tricky Lynch solo, here is my video lesson with guitar tabs for Dokkens In My Dreams guitar solo.
This solo has some killer licks in it as you'd expect from Mr Lynch, that big strech legato in the middle is nasty, not a perfect take, but this is as close as i can get with the right energy and attitude in one take. Wanted to get the feel right and then do the best i could, i know a lot of people tap that section, but i believe this is the right way to do it.
We are in Eb tuning (the record is somewhere between Eb and E often the way in that era) but to keep things easier i'm down a half step. Time stamps are below, hope this video shines some light on this super fun solo, good luck with it!

Ahaa love that, thank you, yeah it's a great track, absolutely love the early Dokken albums, fantastic songs and playing all over them, this one has been on my list to learn for ages, really enjoyed giving it a go! 🤘🎸

Absolutely, can't go wrong with a Kramer for playing the 80's rock stuff! This one is my Nightswan, a fantastic guitar for lead, has amazing upper fret access to it, always a joy to play this guitar! 🎸🎶
