It's disgusting to think that someone could be so interested in another person's love life that they would try to have a say over when you have to have sex after you've married someone you barely know and don't even love yet. This cult leader is obviously obsessed with sex. And the way they hugged afterwards and were laying down and kissing while being carted away and everyone watched was just gross and bizarre! These poor people have no sense of self and are obviously lost. Too bad they don't understand the way God really works and that he would never expect this of them. @@miahall2363 Yes, it is. GIRLS that young still haven't fully developed enough to have children. Most girls that are pregnant at that age need to give birth via a c-section simply because their birth canals are not wide enough yet to deliver a child. It was (and probably still is) a problem in some African nations, where a man would take a child bride of 11 or 12 years old. Some died in child birth, others ended up with severe physical problems afterwards. If you look at most faiths in history, it was onset of a girl's period, plus two years. That gives the body more time to finish developing, as well as for the girl to finish maturing. Also, giving birth has historically been one of the most dangerous things a woman does. In previous centuries, it was the main cause of death of a woman. So, no, it IS dangerous for a 12 year old GIRL to get pregnant, and to give birth. At ANY point in history.

    tee arryuuteeach What kind of life is that to live? Are they expected to lie in bed together? Should such a young person wed someone who'd eventually bite the dust? What could a 16 year old possibly have to offer someone that much older than them?

  • @teearryuuteeach9556

    @teearryuuteeach9556

    8 жыл бұрын

    Omari Thompson Ok i'll try answer those 4... 1. Usually women like older men and men like younger women, this has been the case forever and it will never change, it's natural. There's no point listing out the reasons why the reply would be too long, but i'm sure you know that is true in life. 2. Yes. 16 is a normal age in most of the world, I don't think any reasonable person thinks a 16 year old is a child, she makes all kinds of life changing decisions at that age. 3. Yeah the male would be expected to die a lot sooner than her, in this case she can re-marry anyway, and it's expected at his age he would have financial provision for her. 4. In traditional marriages the woman doesn't need to be rich or wise (intelligent yes, but wise/ experienced, no). If she loves the man, he is older and more set in his ways and has gone through life and learned (hopefully), so it is good for her to truly become "his" wife and she will benefit greatly from that (as opposed to an ignorant young man). It's appropriate a woman picks a man based on character so he will be a good head of the house. As for her, she should be intelligent and compliant as his other half. You see, the world tries to fool people into thinking a marriage is some kind of contest, but these usually fail (as evidenced with divorce stats these days). When a woman puts her trust in a "good" man, she is practically forcing him to love her and take care of her. This is a womans true power, as opposed to stamping her foot and futilely trying to force the issue. The guy should be wise (because of his age) so he should be trustworthy to make decisions and her submission basically forces him to make her welfare primary.

    bay wills I wouldn't call evolution-school "education", more like indoctrination. Your reasoning is faulty also... if she goes to college in her 20's is she still not ready? What if she leaves high school early to get a job? What if they started the school curriculum at an earlier age so she DID finish the last year at 16? Christians are commanded by God to obey the laws of the country they reside in, so if underage (according to government) sex happens that is a direct violation of what Jesus Christ himself said. However 18 is very old compared to the rest of the world. But if a country said 5 years old was a sex-acceptable age, Christians would ignore that until the woman was started puberty. This is Nature and Bible. But no True Christian would break ANY land-laws because we are commanded to maintain peace, and keeping laws keeps us at peace with the government. Peace is a FAR more important command for us than sex.

    Pastors like this are not Christian pastors. The Bible also speaks about false prophets and this is who they are. The Bible tells you that a pastor must be blameless and able to teach and lead others . This more proves why people need to repent of their sins and call upon Jesus to save them. It’s religion VS salvation. Since more have a religion in their sins. But they aren’t saved from their sins.

Men don’t reach this stage until 25....again, depending upon the individual....these are the average. To say a child of twelve is able to be a mother.... It is horrific and stressful on both her and the child she is carrying, developmentally! Many time more likely that the baby will have health issues and raises the mortality rate of the mother.

    Hearing about Gloriavale puts me in two states of mind. On one hand, a lot of what they say resonates with me. I love God and believe in Him and try to live a life that honours Him in everything I do, so when they say that they are a "body of Christ" and are "living for God and not the world", I totally agree with that. I also feel that it's okay for the kids to have responsibility, and to learn the value of hard work. Too many kids these days (I am 18 years old by the way) grow up not knowing how to work so it's great to see them upholding that strong work ethic. However, where it goes wrong for me is the fact that this man, Neville Cooper, is building this society - this religion, even - that seems to be missing what is to me, one of the fundamentals of my life as a follower of Christ; sharing God's message of His love and life to the people around you! i believe one of the main reasons we are on this earth is to bring more people into God's family and show them that we all can have eternal life through God's love and sacrifice for us. How can you spread the light in a place where there is no darkness??

    What will happen to the cult after Neville Cooper dies? Will it just fall away? These cults' existence seems to depend on their 'charismatic' leader, so what happens after the leader dies?

    OK it's called "the family bed"... back when early homes consisted of one or two rooms... inevitably the kids might glimpse parents having intercourse. Though when they mentioned that he encouraged watching... I admit that man has serious problems. Usually convicted sex offenders have their movements limited... such as no contact with children or not being allowed to live near schools. I'm surprised that this man isn't dealing with restrictions.

    The fact he's able to openly carry out his slimey behaviour is a failure of the system. Shame on all of us for allowing it to happen.

    Wow this is definitely a colt and no witnessing to the outside world just isolation how do you expect people come to Christ how did they come to Christ if nobody witness to them we are in the world but we are not of the world but you can't isolate in Jesus said to go preach the gospel to all creation so how can you keep his children isolated this man needs to repent and turn to God this man needs to repent and turn to God or he will burn and hell if this is true what he's done to these innocent children

    Religion & Cults. What's the difference? One has been around longer and has a much larger following.

    Practically all religious institutions are, by definition, cults. So what?

    Reverend Eslam WRONG - a cult, [by definition], embraces socially deviant practices, and whilst it's true that many individuals within the so-called mainstream religions have been shown to be socially deviant, the modern day practices of these religions are not.

    Reverend Eslam Reverend Eslam, You know why so what - as does every other sane, mature, and rational person. You seem to be supporting advocating these "groups" if you don't like the word "cult", or am I mistaken? May I ask what "church" you are a reverend in and what university and/or seminary you got your degree in religious studies?

    Reverend Eslam So what? In that case, may I ask what makes your "cult" acceptable compared to the rest, when the only difference is just that you happen to have a larger following?

    Sudevan Valyetham Sudevan, are you referring to my latest post - which is addressed to Rev.Eslam and what he wrote - or what I wrote? I wrote "you know why so what…" in reference to his question "so what?"… or are you addressing Rev. Eslam like I am. If you are addressing me… well, I have a response! I stand by my comment in reference to Rev. Eslam and position. By the way, I am still waiting for him to reply which "church" he is a rev. in, and what university and theology seminary he attended etc. or is he another goof that is playing preacher?
