The salute smack was perfect. My buddies and I will always salute each other as a joke while walking around even though we’re the same rank, and I’ve been subject to the salute smack by people who don’t understand the joke 😂

My dad was drafted jn 66. They had to salute all the officer’s cars that would drive by with the blue base registration stickers. At least I think that’s what he meant, we had red stickers for enlisted and blue for officers when I was in. But they also used to screw around saluting each other left handed. He saluted one of those random officer cars once. Then realized he’d done it left handed. He turned around and saw brake lights so just took off running.

And too many times I’ll forget to turn my walkie on (I work in the back with the trucks) So while this happened, I’d go out to the floor like 2 hours later. “Where’s Gail at? Customer needs help in electronics…” Completely missing “the moment” 😂 She might’ve been talking to like 3 people on that walkie
