I got super high grades in one class in college. English. She told us to write about something that affected us as well as most of the population. This was 2005. Everyone wrote about 9/11. I wrote about Harry Potter. Teacher was a HP fan and I got grades I probably didn't deserve as a result. They just want you to be different sometimes.

i seriously appreciate this, i'm pretty sure i wouldn't have understood half of what this movie was about without this.

I took my chem exam on college board and it was easy asf, I would say with certainty I got a 4, probably a 5. Turns out I had that bug that was common at the time where submitting it glitches. Anyways, retook it, got an impossible test, much harder questions and got a 3. Now I have to take chem again…

It's a really outdated system isn't it? Too test result focused and not enough focus on actually learning how to discover and understand.

An easy solution would be surprise exams, but people hate those, because they cant study for them, which is the entire point
