Labour didn't bankrupt Birmingham city council, what bankrupted many councils in England and Wales was the reduction of funds from central government. It was the Conservative party's strategy to reduce the so called social state. And what did the conservatives do with the money they withdrew .... used it on Tax Cuts for the rich. It was this transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich which bankrupted councils !!!

Kind of. Some councils certainly didn't help matters with their passion projects of unused cycle lanes, tearing up miles and miles of road, or commissioning statues from artists, turning libraries into office blocks etc. but have no problems paying staff 100k to sit around out of sight making these silly decisions, or paying for hotels for "temporary accommodation" instead of building more social housing, hiring temps from agencies instead of full time staff and so on. Yes central government didn't help, we've all suffered due to cuts by the Tories, but local authorities had their part to play with the poor allocation of funds, just as we see in the NHS.

In recent times we have seen: £500 million awarded to his wife's American company, Moderna, for MRNA research, not AstraZenica, a British company. £500 million to an Indian firm Tata Steel, not a UK firm and they still shed 3,000 jobs / employees. First SMR contract awarded to an American company Westinghouse, not Rolls Royce, a British firm, that already employ people to deliver SMR's. Well I don't trust labour but this lot have gone down the same path and without anyone to fix the economy, the question we should all be asking is: What comes next?

Different for the Miners of course, Heseltine was upset with the action taken during the Miners strike and made it his mission to close all the pits. The UK government gave everyone a £30k payoff, some may have had more depending on years worked down the mines.

How is that not a clear and concise answer? He even had to repeat his answer like five times before the interviewer accepted it. The only people worse than politicians are journalists and new anchors. The interviewer is a joke and cannot do his job competently. Half of labour are members of the friends of Israel (PARLIAMENTARY GROUP), the other half are friends of Palestine and the middle east (PARLIAMENTARY GROUP). They are Parliamentary groups, about the equivalent of workplace social/hobby groups, they are not corporations or government lobbying groups. They aren't the illuminati either, so cut your anti-semitic crap out.

He said that he was delivering on what was important to the people (and to him). He said that he cares about the UK, when asked about Ireland which isn't part of the UK. No politician will admit that donors are the priority, and it wouldn't solve anything if they did.

His tactic is to evade the actual question and talk down the clock so he' can't be held accountable. Whenever the interviewer cuts in he becomes increasingly tetchy, which makes for a frustrating and painful experience for the viewer. His advisers should warn him that this is not going to play well with the public during the election.

Who the hell did think sunak would be good for PM he should be sacked as well as sunak

As chancellor, Rishi oversaw 70 billion in fraud, much went to donor's & even some lord's. And he says he is proud of his record as chancellor.
