This government is like drinking a weak shandy. It’s obvious the ECHR has too much power but it’s too late for Sunak to sort that problem and I don’t believe he would sort it if he were given the opportunity. He’s got confected enthusiasm - it’s not real because he doesn’t believe in it.

Yes I agree people need someone in charge who understands the pressures on people. Sunak is a billionaire, he does not understand how people struggle financially. His party is the past. Whoever wrote this speech should be sacked - it's appalling.

Ridiculously over emotional in both words and delivery. I also note it was timed so that the news channels which were about to do the unpleasant business news diverted to this instead. The channels not about to do the business news eg GB news stayed on their own stuff. Reminds me of the call you and yours phone in which was pulled five years ago this week if the BBC is operationally independent why was the only phone in pulled out of 600 odd editions and the one govt would want most pulled the exact same phone in?
