In car service of Timing Chain on the Ford 4.6L Modular V8 - Part 2 of 2

Dealership training from Ford about the in car replacement of the timing chains.
Content of video will probably apply to the Mustang as well.
NOTE: There was a mistake made during production (paper inside case) about the timing chain guide in the later part of the video! Use common sense during replacement and finding out why wear occured.

I dont get why they have to remove the wiper moter cowel covers there not even in the way nore do any fuel lines go there that you have to get to i think they just want the service tech guys to do a extra step to fuck with them beacuse they can!

Wiper arm removal is part of the hood removal . This is a 93-94 4.6 2-valve sohc setup. Its funny GM still is using old pushrods and rocker arms 2-valve per cylinder and single cams in All their V-8 blocks . With Ford this has changed about 3 times since these old ones. For the last 10yrs they are 3 valves per cylinder and 4 valves per cyl DOHC. This was on the old 2-valve SOHC

On pre 2003 Panther platform vehicles the wiper transmission is gigantic and blocks you from removing the cam cover on the drivers side (or gaining access to the fuel rail) so it has to come off.
