6:30 he says "the screws have left hand threads and turning them counter clockwise loosens them." That would tighten them on left hand thread

I JUST got done replacing one of the lid switches on an LSE7804ACE.. Whatever engineer thought it was a good idea to put the switches back there instead of ANYWHERE near the front panel... you know, the one you only have to take off 2 little screws for? ... I hope that guy had ONLY bad things happen to him for the rest of his life.

The 4.6L & 5.4L are Great engines so long as you/the owner checks the oil level every couple of weeks, and don’t go an extended period of time without changing your oil filter! These motors are stout, but as anyone who has repaired them knows, the plastic timing chain tensioners are the most common failure in these engines if they have ran low on oil. And the plastics on the intake manifold are known to break around the thermostat & cooling Passover, but they fixed this design in 04 I believe. And lastly the infamous 3 threads of aluminium that hold your spark plugs in the cylinder head. (Also fixed in 04 by changing it to 8 threads) *specifically I’m dating the engines used in the mustang, so others like the f150 and CV may have gotten the improvements before or after the dates I mentioned, but just wanted to share my experience with the ford modular lol.

Very smooth and powerful engine. However a rebuild should be done in a professional shop. Not in ones garage as it is technically pretty advanced and beyond your typical do it yourselfer.

Better EPA fuel economy than a V8? Sorry, my 05 4.2 Trailblazer got about 14 mpg. My 5.3 V8 got about 17 mpg. The 4.2 was underrated as a potential performance engine mostly because it was under developed by GM. GM gave up on it because it was not initially as good as they thought and as is typical with GM, the finance folks pulled the plug from the engineers and it was gone.

In my experience, they come hooked up. However, if you're going to load the truck up with your belongings, you'll need to unhook the trailer somewhere and hook it back up when you're done.

Hi I'm from Ecuador. I have a 1996 dodge ram 2500 turbodiesel single cab 5.9L and I have the following problem and no one has found a solution yet. The problem is the following: When the engine is relatively cold, it shifts normally (at 1500 -1700 - 1800rpm) but after 15 or 20min that the engine has reached its temperature I must apply full throttle and reach 2100rpm so that the engine engine make speed changes. What could be the cause? Thanks for your kind reply
