This is the best ever made. Only written translation is fast learning. If you make more or if you have time to remake: Put the translation under the Russian, at the bottom of the video, and avoid moving words around on the screen.

Hello. I was looking at your website and I really liked it! You all seem so generous and helpful. It said that we could tell you via the student forum how we feel, but I could not find any way to access that at all. I went on your alphabet videos but the comments are turned off, probably because directed to children in part. So I found this, and maybe I'll get to understand it if I study on your lovely website! But I just wanted to say to you, that your site looks like just what I was looking for. I'm very impressed by your passion for teaching Russian. Also very moved by your statement about Ukraine. I will do what I can to learn and help; thanks for what looks like a great way of learning the Russian language! (I'm using some videos and audio things, but I wanted just some print to look at! Reading is my most favorite way. And not in a video. It's just more peaceful. They're all good methods and they work together.)

This clip was fine for me but for the longer phrases I would like if the speaker repeated the phrase slowly. Say the phrase and then repeat more slowly, word by word. I am a complete newbie and not an auditory learner. I love that you have the words and the translation on the screen so I can pause and study the phrase.

+Catherine McNaught Hi! It's hard I know. I Russian readers speak as slow as they can naturally. We have deliberately avoided being too slow because it doesn't really help in the long run. Listening and understanding is hard skill. To help you speak we suggest that you read the Russian from the text. Russian is actually a great language to learn by reading because the sounds are very consistent compared to other languages. Visit our website for a description of each sound, and audio recordings for many similar phrases. www.russianlessons.net/lessons/lesson4_main.php
