Would be easier to learn how to alter the human mind and associate work with downtime/pleasure. So that people won't want to do anything but work (within reason so you don't break your body of course.) while also getting the benefits you would get from doing your downtime activities. Ironically if you could alter the human mind. (Without butchering techniques like lobotomizing, but ACTUAL re-linking of neuron pathways.) You could likely become happier than somebody who is super rich and does nothing all day but idle and tries to find pleasure in buying useless things or experiences. Why keep the world hostage or imprisoned with false hope if you could give them genuine happiness? Though ironically, if a scenario like that would happen, workloads would get reduced due to there no longer being any purpose to creating and sustaining countless free time products and experiences that nobody would want anymore. So what likely would happen if we learn to rewire brains is that big corporate would make everyone addicted as hell to any of their products so we would work to be able to use their products/experiences.

@@Sniperboy5551 Hardly a solution. They have many side effects, they won't work on a select amount of people and will lose their effectiveness over time while causing more trouble down the road then beneficial effects. Actually re-connecting the neuro pathways of the brain would be a permanent solution that will make it "natural", rather then relying on a drug intake at a daily interval to circumvent a lack of over creation of those required chemicals the body should be making.

This and 3-4 other shows (Ted Lasso, Foundation, Silo, and Servant) are the only things worth watching on Apple TV. Two of these series are over and the other three are so spread out that I only subscribe for about a month a year. If they would only put out content like this consistently, but they don't.

@@petrcecil2622 You know, that is one series I had my eye on, and I started watching the first episode. It was a bit slow starting with a lot of character development, and somehow I lost interest. However, it does look interesting, and I loved the novel Mars by Ben Bova, and that was also a slow character driven story. So yes if I get started I will probably like this series too. Is it one you recommend? When the next season of Severance drops and I sign back up, I will check it out.
