Great info. My question is this still applicable when shooting from behind cover i.e. in an IDPA match where you are to pie three threats from a single point of cover? Thanks for all you do!

At my age, my lower body does pretty much what it wants, which is pretty much not much! LOL. But seriously, shooting tips for older shooters would be a good topic, I would think.

Sorry Myles, I totally disagree with being squared up to my target. You make yourself much more of a target revealing your most vulnerable part of yourself to the enemy. I much prefer being "bladed" to the bad guy. I am much less of a target and can easily move better and faster. Also my weapon is further from the target as well. Whatever you want to do, practice, practice, practice. I am very well trained twice retired LEO. SWAT, sniper, combat veteran. I do respect your training tips, but this is one everyone and all cops disagree with. Bladed, works for me. 🧐

Disagree with your comment, and I'm a cop. Sounds like old school thinking Many up to speed officers and combat veterans these days are taught to square up to their targets. And I wouldn't be so sure about "all cops will disagree" with this, because I 100% agree with the video. We (cops) are taught a lot of dated methods that many peers accept without question. We're finally learning newer, better techniques and tactics, and establishing a natural point of aim is one of them. Your opinion is your opinion. But don't make it sound like everyone agrees with you.

IDF vet here- we had a guy get hammered by a round while in a bladed firing position. The shot caught the back bottom side edge of his armour. He was lucky af, maybe if he bladed two cm more he would have been gut shot.

Bladed puts both lungs dead in line also..I used to think the same way but myself if I had armor I’d square up if my reflexes don’t say otherwise

I think the intro is unessecary especially for an instructional type video. Its just dead space. Just get to the video. Intro just wastes the viewers time and we skip forward.
