I was listening to an episode of The Roxzone Podcast (theroxzone.com) and they were talking with Master Trainer George Edwards ( ge_hyroxmastertrainer) about how important Grip Strength is through the race. Which is spot on, and something I'd never really considered.
But when they mentioned the Rowing stage being part of this, I got a little triggered - as grip really isn't something you need to worry about when rowing.
I'm not arguing with their point about needing good grip strength, but with this video I just want to show you that if you hold the handle correctly when rowing, you won't tire out your grip, and you'll be ready to attack the farmer's carry.

I came to it myself. In the beginning I had calluses on my hands because I held the handle tightly. Today I just hook the handle with my fingers.

Yeah, all the friction from gripping too tight, and the lack of airflow to try to keep your hands cool is a sure route to blisters. Good to hear you sorted things yourself.
