I decided to make this video to help those of you who 1) struggle with writing skills and 2) want to find some fun and effective ways to overcome it. The answer is basically simple - we have to add some art into our study routine 🪄 How? Will show you today in this video!

As an Englishman, I really want to express my sincerest gratitude for the effort you've put into your UK Geography and English History projects! It's very flattering for me to see an English learner put such time and effort into creating something beautiful about my language, country, and history! As an ESL teacher, I wish more English learners were like you and cared about Anglophone cultures instead of merely learning the language for pragmatic reasons (though I understand why this is the case). I feel like we have very similar temperaments, except you've already figured out what to do for your language learning process. I also love art, geography, literature, and history, so this has inspired me to do similar projects with the languages I'm studying! ^.^ Also, if you don't mind me saying, your Russian-tinged British accent is delightful to listen to! ^.^ Plus... it always makes me happy when I hear someone chose British English over American English ;P

It'd be nice if you could also learn about south America, since we also speak Spanish here and each country has a different culture :3

I always liked art when I was in school. If I had to do a report, I would spend a lot of time making a cover that was usually a drawing. I didn't like writing the reports. One teacher wrote 'Spend more time on the report and less on the cover.' Years ago, I threw away all the reports but saved the covers. P.S. I like your drawings.

Haha it's great you still have those school report covers! Too bad we often forget about our creative side as we grow older... Thank you for your comment 😊

These are so exquisite; thank you for the inspiration. You have a new subscriber! 😊 I have a question I'm hoping you can help with. The main thing that stops me from writing is that I don't want to write errors - not because I don't want to _make_ errors, but because I don't want to accidentally _learn_ (and reinforce) errors without realising they're errors. How do you deal with that? Do you have a method of checking or correcting things before handwriting them? Or after? Thanks for your thoughts!

Thank you, welcome 🤗 you know, I had spent a lot of time thinking how to deal with that problem (can I even call it a problem?..), till I realised that it's almost impossible to speak/write without mistakes. I mean, we make mistakes even in our native languages (don't know about you, but there are some certain collocations or sayings that I may sometimes use wrong even in my native language!). So, first of all, I guess, we should LET ourselves make mistakes, which is totally okay. On the other hand, if you're a perfectionist (like me in some sense), then you might still be thinking you want your journal to be perfect with minimum mistakes... What I do: if there's a certain phrase I want to write and am not sure if it's correct /or if it even exists at all/, I simply google it - there are some websites which offer translation or just examples with that phrase (from a film/a book/or just a random example). Of course, you won't be writing texts that are for advanced levels, if you have, say, an intermediate one; that's why you more likely won't be spending hours trying to find "correct phrases" - it'll happen probably several times before you fill up a page... So I usually simply google everything I'm not sure about. Hope it helps you start writing in your target language ✨ to start is the hardest thing
