Impromptu #4 - Infinite potential

In this conversation on retreat at Cliff College John considers:
- 'nothing' reveals infinite potential
- to relax is to trust in God
- what we really are is eternal Life
- it's a blessing to be fed up with the world
- rough times are blessings in disguise
- there are no accidents

I’ve been very depressed the past few years but I’ve found you somehow. Wish I could meet you but this is just fine too. Just knowing someone like you exists. I have great family and support, my issues are within myself but watching you frequently and listening to you has help me come to terms with a lot and has helped me start healing even more. Thank you, from the US. My race means nothing but you’ve deeply touched this African American. Just wanted to illustrate you touch people of all colors and walks of life. Thank you so much Mr. Butler…❤️

John Butler has with just very few interviews and spiritual sessions, managed to teach me perhaps the absolut most valuable knowledge I have ever known. After years and years of searching for all things and everything in the area of what John Butler is talking about, I finally get the most simple tools to expand the knowledge I was after. What excites me so much is the simplicity of Butler´s explanations. John Butler if you ever would happen to read these words, let me express my deepest respect for you, and with the most high graditude, I send you greetings from Iceland. Thank you so very much dear John.

Sums up mine too. I don’t belong. I believe that people have different levels of potential. I don’t see myself as having potential. But I see my one friend as having lots of potential, the children at the school I help at full of potential, the person at the end of the street, not so much, it’s different for everyone.

I’m the same. But I’m not sure we’re all interpreting the comment in the same way. I can’t seem to belong anywhere. I don’t really fit in. Always feel I am on the outside looking on. I seem to gel with very few people beyond superficial chit chat, although I am not very good at small talk either yet often wish I was better at it. Often feel lonely but cannot see a way to change that. I wish God would swallow me up and I would never return to earth.

I'm a day late, but here we go: I've been locked in my house since 2017, struggling with depression 2 years prior to that. I've lost my job, my figure, the girl who once i called "the love of my life", all my friends, everything. Over the years i pulled myself up, and then, for "x" motive, i drop dead again and it's a non-stop thing that i can't understand why. How came to be that this fella that once was the most funny, handsome, athletic man, to be this "thing" that leaps from the bed, to the computer , to eat and sleep again? I have no clue. But everytime i think/mourne or even try to give it a thought, instead of get the understanding of "why"/"how" , i end up getting angry , because nobody stuck to what they've said once "I'll be there for you". The short version's that i've been trying to understand why the Universe wants for me to be alone, not with friends, not with a lady that loves me, not with family, and came to the conclusion that: I've been born in the wrong Era, or i'm "paying the karma" from something that i did in another life. Regardless of this, i found John one day while doing this thoughts, and 2 minutes in the video, i started to cry like i was being killed or something, like idk, like there was this man, that with just a little smile and a calm stare, was there , doing nothing but hearing the silence of it all. To this day, 9/10 times, there's a part of every video that i cry my guts out. I supose it's something that i've been carring on since 2015 , but, altho i still get "mad"/"anoyed" by the thoughts that go through my head, i'm starting to feel less , "attached" to the "why this always happens to me?" and just simply take it as something that it has to happen because Something wants to happen this way, so i don't get THAT annoyed. I gave it another read at what i've said, and it has nothing to do with anything at all, but i really can't speak to anybody 'cuz i have nobody, so, sorry in advance if somebody gets annoyed for the comment. Hope you all have a very good day. John, "in all with you, i wish for you the peace that i need". Big hugs.

Thank you for reminding me of this time, when I was reborn into the Christ spirit back 1972 taught by a beautiful evangelist holiness teacher nameed Samuel. My heart opened and the holy spirit poured in. I was so in love and so filled with love, I glowed with the light-of-love of Christ within me, and the whole world literally sparkled for months and months. And simply saying and singing Jesus name over and over was Like making love to God. Before & After this time I was separate and sad and alone. ❤

thanks for this . . . JB is a pleasure, even if, like most spiritual gurus, there's a hearty slathering of "woo" blended in with the peaceful thoughts. For the sake of contentment, it may be well and good to dismiss beliefs or worries about trying to save people from a pandemic or children starving to death. If you buy into the illusion of an eternal "here after" then it might be rational to dismiss the suffering of our flickering little lives compared to eternity, but there is no reason to expect our conscious existence to outlive our body. It is so that the fact of your existence becomes woven into the fabric of eternity, which makes your few decades among the living an awesome opportunity to honor the mark of your existence . . . or not ! Cheers. B-)

Whatever happens after we die, people who have had near death experiences have come back, mostly with stories of being wrapped in love, like a blanket. Of peace and contentment, and a yearning to enter the light. This can be explained by physical mearurements, as the brain upon death bathes in its own produced chemicals that cause euphoria. So... which causes which? Does the brain excrete these euphoric drugs as a reaction to what the soul experiences, or do we have those experiences because of the chemical imbalance? Same goes for the feeling that you actually enter an afterlife. If death is just the flicking of a switch and then everything that you were is gone forever, then at least isn't nature wonderful that has evolved us with that final gift of FEELING that we're moving on, right before we become nothing? Does it really matter if it actually happens then or not? Either way, death is something that we fear, but at least we can take comfort in that it may not be so bad when our time comes.

Ryu - The Darkening - HIT ME "Ryu" means that I am HIT ME, Hit Me All The Way, In Any Way, Anyway. HIT ME Always Works., I Do Not Hit. It Hits All By Itself., Everyone And Everything Has This HIT ME Side In It. The Red Bands., HIT ME., The Hits Are A Fact Of Life And The Key To Enlightenment., I Die For It. A Sacrifice For Love., The Way Out Of The Abyss. So we are what hits us and what we suffer from. "The Darkening" symbolizes the opposite of "The Enlightenment". Yet these two opposites are one. Because we are all at the same time darkened and enlightened. But "The Darkening"'s dominant form is the nature of suffering while "The Enlightenment"'s dominant form is the nature of blissfulness. And the all-encompassing being "A" holds the unity of all there is, "The Darkening" and "The Enlightenment". While... "HIT ME, Hit Me All The Way, In Any Way, Anyway. HIT ME Always Works., I Do Not Hit. It Hits All By Itself., Everyone And Everything Has This HIT ME Side In It. The Red Bands., HIT ME., The Hits Are A Fact Of Life And The Key To Enlightenment., I Die For It. A Sacrifice For Love., The Way Out Of The Abyss." can be seen as the relationship with suffering and the hits. The Words I am using as mantra's and affirmations and also the names for the soundtracks I connected these words and their real experiences with: Ryu - The Darkening - HIT ME Ryu - The Darkening - Hit Me All The Way, In Any Way, Anyway. Ryu - The Darkening - HIT ME Always Works. Ryu - The Darkening - I Do Not Hit. It Hits All By Itself. Ryu - The Darkening - Everyone And Everything Has This HIT ME Side In It. Ryu - The Darkening - The Red Bands (The red bands are bands I am holding on, to transfer the verbal or physical hits from someone or something into my hands. For when I cannot use the words in a direct "HIT ME" experience. Those are bands I am wearing around my forehead and my wrists. They help me deal and heal with the hits.) Ryu - The Darkening - HIT ME Ryu - The Darkening - The Hits Are A Fact Of Life And The Key To Enlightenment. Ryu - The Darkening - I Die For It - A Sacrifice For Love (Things I did wrong and the practice of redeeming myself) Ryu - The Darkening - The Way Out Of The Abyss HIT ME This quote from the joker actor Heath Ledger from "The Dark Knight" made an enormous impact on me and inspired me to create a philosophy. It helped me making peace with all of that. Through practices of any kind. I have learned to love my trauma, my illness, my feelings, my thoughts, my conflicts, my life and ultimately my suffering. The hits are a fact of life and the key to enlightenment. A hit affects you, internally or superficially. Everyone and everything has this "HIT ME" side in it. And if you set your life expectation to "HIT ME", it always works and you will never be disappointed that way. Because something always hits you. Even if you don't want to be hit by something, it still hits you. Hence, it still works as a life expectation. It even works when positive things hit you. Like soft raindrops or a soap bubble. Same as joy or bliss. Hit me all the way, in any way, anyway. If you devote yourself to such an idea, you decipher the path to enlightenment. This is a good reason to follow the path of loving our suffering as it brings great benefit to one. From ourselves, when we don't want to be hit and don't want to take in the hits, to the desire to be hit and take in the hits. It always works, regardless of the form. As Bruce Lee said: "Be unconsciously conscious or consciously unconscious". Once one has developed a certain level of this practice, one masters the suffering and becomes truly enlightened. I am quoting Bruce Lee again: "I do not hit. It hits all by itself." The Way Out Of The Abyss Only when we can accept what we want to let go, can we let go of what we want to accept. A peaceful mind is the cure for restlessness. And love is the cure for a broken spirit. Pain is strength in disguise waiting, to be revealed. And It takes a lot of strength to cry. Because when we cry, we open up to the pain that we experience. When all the waves come crashing down on you, there is faith to get you through. Express your belief into reality and believe in it. This is how you get through the waves. We make mistakes, because we are not perfect. And for that fact I am grateful, that I make mistakes. Remember the solution to any problem is the problem itself. It came into existence and it will not leave you. A sacrifice for love, is a sacrifice worth dying for. We don't have to undo what we do wrong in this life. We die for it and thus, sacrifice ourselves for love. So live for the truth and die for the lie. Die for your negative qualities and live for your positive qualities. That is the sacrifice and the salvation of the human spirit. The guilt we feel is that, which enslaves us. Only when we also remember our innocence, are we free at the same time. There is nothing in this universe, that can harm a mad person. Except making the mad person even more insane, through harm. When you are ready to take in all the hits, in order to gain strength from it and at the same time you are ready to pass on all the love out of compassion to others; one will be as strong as a demon and as compassionate as an angel. A demonic angel. A victory is achieved, by resolving the battles within. If you give up fighting yourself and instead start absorbing yourself, you will be invincible. When you change the powers that hold you back, into the powers that hold your back, you will be unstoppable. You are an example of what a human being is capable of. Take in the hits and use them, as fuel for Ascension. The greatest bliss is found when you make peace with your suffering. Because suffering is the root of blissfulness. If you love your suffering, blissfulness arises. And blissfulness is the key, to heaven on earth. If you can defeat yourself, by loving yourself, your fears, your pain and ultimately your suffering; then it will transform you and you will be reborn. In order to overcome suffering, one has to become suffering oneself. Because when you are one with all, you are bound by nothing and therefore free from everything. And through becoming one with suffering you master it. The journey to enlightenment is a process, that involves a lot of suffering. But in the end every moment of suffering will be worth it. Because choosing to suffer consciously is the springboard, to enlightenment. That's how you remember your origin and you begin to embody it. Because where there is suffering, the love spark resides and the fire is kindled where God, or Consciousness enters and spreads out. Become Ryu, the dragon. Become suffering. Be in a relationship with HIT ME from sadness to madness and become HIT ME and the hits yourself. And Ryu, the dragon spreads its wings and rises. Thus he finds the way out of the abyss.c
