That is definitely some shady activity on their part which is why I'm always wary about purchasing from Indonesia and would rather pay more from someone in my country. No way was it an accident or mistake. I do think you should name them so that other people can be made aware and not be tricked by them either. Base on the packaging, I'm going to assume the business is either Aroid Market or Aroid Asia.

Sorry to hear about this. The plant market has imploded, so they are desperate.

Hi yes I just had this happen to me! The company and I met on Facebook. They posted really beautiful plants, and the seller spoke very good English. We got along really well hit it off I had just started an aquatic plant shop and he talked me into listing pre-orders.... will the first order I got from him arrived and was very beautiful it was delayed so most of the stuff was very beautiful I should correct that. That was order number one and a $200 credit for plants that had melted was supposed to apply to my next order. Well, the next order I found out they were not shipping properly! So at this point I have a bunch of customers that have paid me for pre-orders I have promised them all of these things and now I found out that this business is not shipping correctly. Not to mention they now owe me $200. Shortly after that I get my second order, and the most important plants that I sold like 10 of between 10 and 15 of for a lot of money were not in my order. A few scraggly looking plants were provided that were not acceptable. At this point I'm so embarrassed and now my brand new business is starting to go into a downward spiral. I'm so determined to get this plant for my customers since I promised it to them and at this point I didn't know anyone else to get them from. The third order was not delivered four times because of the incorrect way that they were shipping and each time they were charging me $92 shipping fees. Try not to be harsh because I put my heart and soul into this business and it was my only source of income it did so well the first 3 months. There were excuses like I cannot ship any any other way besides this certain Courier oh I can't refund your money because PayPal Indonesia doesn't allow us to add money to our PayPal account etcetera. At this point I'm out the 200.00 from the first order the $300 from the second order that didn't have the plants that I needed for my pre-orders and the third order got me for about $600 which never showed up. So I disputed it with PayPal. And this person has the nerve to harass me saying that I'm stealing their money 😂😂😂

With that said I luckily met a seller in Vietnam who takes a small down payment and as soon as your order arrives you have 30 days to pay the balance. That was such a breath of fresh air after what happened to me and it restored my faith in this business I will never order from anyone else I have received three shipments from this seller and each time I paid them off gradually and did not ever pay shipping more than once. Don't ever allow someone to talk you in to listing pre-orders that you don't know!!

It’s horrible to go through that! I’ve definitely stop importing at this time. Companies here in the states are much better, especially now with tissue cultures

I wanna know who the company was😅 With Aroid Asia and Green Space ID, I’ve had direct/assumptive interactions from their team. To be expected as a business. You can’t bend the knee. Overall, good experiences transacting with both importers

Listing the correct price of the correct item you are selling is the most important aspect ofthis type of transactional relationship. An ethical business would not have hesitated to offer cancelation due to sloppy (if not intentionally mis leading) advertising. "Word of mouth" has always been a good way to promote a business as well as for keeping other folks from making a bad decision with their hard earned money. This warning doesn't work sufficiently when the company or business is not identified.

They decided to let me know after the money are deposited into their bank account. They probably then transferred it to a different bank.

@@ValleysnHillsAR right I was thinking that afterward…..crazy and yes I am sure it was on purpose because we always hear great things about the customer service and it was their error….and they lost you as a customer….my last scam was a Regale anthurium…..I paid Regale price and I think for sure it is just a crystal…..it looks exactly the same…..have a nice day!

@@ValleysnHillsAR I use a B of A Visa card and if this place appeared on my statement, the bank would have automatically flagged it as fraudulent. It would have been easy to let your credit card company handle it. The plants did arrive in wonderful condition, especially considering how far they travelled.

You could have opened a complaint with Etsy for a refund. I've never had any trouble getting a refund through Etsy, even after not getting any satisfaction from a seller.

If you pay by PayPal you will get all your money back
