Seems like single player shooters are in real crisis when being singleplayer is considered a merit by itself. And BTW if you look at Steam reviews you can see your "best reviewer at IGN" has overvalued the game quite a bit.

Let this guy keep doing the reviews. Best one from ign ive seen in a long long time

Looks brilliant. My biggest issue… Baldurs gate 3, FF16, armoured core 6, star field, Spider-Man 2 - all games out or coming out soon. How are we meant to fit in all of these great looking games 😢😂

The game is definitely underrated. It’s sad it didn’t perform well and Ascendant Studios got hit so hard because of it.

Not really a new concept - Lichdom: Battlemage did it with a great complex & customizable magic system in 2014. It still holds very well.

3hrs gameplay in and its a fun game. Get past the initial training mission and it gets more exciting. Highly recommend to play

Crazy that the studio behind this game just laid off 50 people due to poor sales of Aveum. From the looks and sounds of this review, the game seems amazing. At least the game will probably be on sale for $10-20 within the year.

Yes it's very sad. Gamers cry all the fricking time for "NEW IP" then when a developer creates a fresh IP that plays great........ NO ONE BUYS IT. This game bombed so badly you would think it got a 4/10.

The game is unnecessarily difficult even on apprentice. Make me wonder, who are they making does games for? The very few hard-core games, the many casual games or themselves? There's a difficulty system for a reason. Coping other developers concept, and whatever happened to aim assist? All lower level enemies have better shields and aim. 60% completion and im already over this game. Magnus rank 40 and struggling, what is the point of levelling up? If I'm not getting stronger but the enemies are... im done! Delete! Waste of my money

@@pee1981 I’m about halfway through the game and I’m having the opposite experience. It’s super easy. There might be some gameplay mechanics you missed because a lot of stuff is only explain via an onscreen tool tip.

This looks like it could be my cup of tea, but I’m still on the fence and the mixed reviews haven’t helped. Why there is there no free trial on EA Play? That could swing it for me.

Definitely worth getting, my only problem with the game is the writing for the characters

How much money did EA dish out for this review brah? Insane score for a game that is worse than a Newgrounds flash game

this game has 24 ppl playing it at the moment on Steam & reached a peak of 400 ppl playing on Steam. To be fair it looks like a typical capeshit game for consoles (PlayStation) so might be suited to that audience who also like Spiderman & other shitty CGI strewn entertainment.
