Always interesting to learn how people cope with the move to Perth. Have your caught up with any of the South African community in Perth? I believe there's quite a number here, I've known a few!

There are so many and yes we have found a few scatterlings of Africa like us!

Which suburbs would you recommend for families with young children? We are planning to move next year, and been looking at rental properties both north and south of the river, but difficult without being there in person.

Hi Mischka! It took us 4 months from application. My husband is a transport planner and I am a stay at home mom currently- but come from sales background.

Hi Thabo- read this information on the Transport Website for more details- but basically if you have a license from SA it is classed an experienced driver country- so as long as you have your valid license and are over 25 you can do your transfer. Hope this helps 😃
