Cost of Living Perth 2023

Hi Everyone
I'm sharing our basic cost of living with you today.
Hopefully this helps to give you a ballpark of costs when setting up your own budget- which can be
tricky when you have newly immigrated or while you are making your plans to immigrate.
NOTE ABOUT CHILDCARE
Our little girl is currently too young to attend Kindy, (Children start pre-primary here the year they turn 4 or 5 years old).
Childcare/Daycare Cost: $100/$150 per day.
If you are not on PR - LIKE US - you will not have any rebate/grant towards childcare costs. This is the main reason I am a stay-at-home mom at the moment.
School Fees: These will depend on your child's school, and whether they attend public OR private school, and also whether you hold a PR visa.
Private primary school fees can range from $2000 -$16000 / Year.
Private High school fees can range from $3000 -$25000 / Year
Good luck on your journey to Aus.

Hi Cathy, I just found your channel and am loving binging on all the Perth videos. We moved to Aus in 2020, but to Brisbane. All your info would have been so helpful to have then 😅. We are planning to move to WA in April and its been great to see Perth through an Saffa's eyes. Hope you and your family have an awesome 2024 💕

Hi, thanks for the fantastic vid. You clearly come from a corporate backround. Without question, the best expat Aus. Channel ive come across. I love the way you are extremely factual and keep your information "non" personal. We've been considering moving to perth. We are SA expats (fourways) that have been living in Ireland for the last 20 years. Thank you once again. Keep it up.

Thanks so much for your comment. Videos will be back in February- as we have just welcomed our little boy- so I haven't had a chance to pick up the camera in a while! Feel free to comment / message on any topics you would like to see covered on the channel in the future. Good luck with your immigration plans!!

Would be great to add everything at the end of the video and give approximately monthly cost or fortnight cost of expenses.

My biggest tip for affordable phone plans is to look into Kogan. I pay 1yr upfront usually and works out to be less than $15/month. Unlimited calls & texts, and the data is enough for me.

I move to NZ from Poland years ago and thinking about Perth. Salary is lower in NZ but life is more expensive than in AU. Perth is one of the option. I live in South Island and winter is sooooo cold here, below 0 during the night. How does winter look like in Perth? Also, can you please tell more about dealing with insects, spiders. Thank you

I live in Perth and for me winter here is very cold, the houses aren't made for holding the heat, so I really suffer during winter months. Most of the houses doesn't have insulation, no central heating and no double glazing windows doors. Sometimes is colder inside the house than outside. So maybe just come visit and be sure before you move.

@@MindfulStirHi, Is Perth worth the move from NZ? We are a family of 5 (3 kids) always lived in NZ but this country is not what is use to be. Do you honestly enjoy living in Perth compared to NZ? :)
