@@luke-zx4eh What an empty blasé comment. At the most you could argue his style of painting is a bit rich, but Plasmo is a solid modifier and scratchbuilder. In every video he comes up with neat little tricks to build extra components. And why cut and punch details if there exists good PE for it? Life is short and there are thousands of nice kits to be built.

@@luke-zx4eh Saying there is nothing special is quite harsh and to me, untrue. He does check if it's historically correct, otherwise he does everything he needs to to make himself happy with a perfect result. Creating material from scratch is of course very special indeed. Same thing with me, I was wounded in Afghanistan and spent 18 months in the hopital having surgeries and starting rehabilitation. During my last spine surgery they found cancer and when I got home, I went through another 8 weeks of chemo. The entire time I was watching Plasmo, Andys and Flory. Now im in remission and started a charity to help Veterans in my area learn modeling. I have literally reccomended your channel over 2000 times in my newsletter.

I stopped modelling 25 years ago. I did have some moderate success at my national IPMS contest over the years and during my last year in the hobby, I also judged a WW1 aircraft category. Your models are IPMS contest level. You have patience, do not cut corners in any stage of the build, a good grasp of many weathering techniques, you understand how an aircraft surface looks different than a tank surface and i every time the final result is of high quality. Special high marks on your weathering, you are not afraid to "go deep", but you also have the restraint to keep a balance. Normally this Sturmovic would have been even more weathered and paint chipped in real life, but on a model it would not necessarily look as good. Congratulations from a nostalgic, keep it up :)

Absolutely stunning! Many years ago I built that huge 1/72 B-52 from the really old molds so the entire kit had raised panel lines and rivets. Sanding then scribing all those lines by hand was a huge challenge, Modeling tools have come so far. If only I had time, but these videos scratch that itch. Thank you for sharing your efforts.

Repikla of Accurate Miniatures 1/48 beautiful Stormovick IL2M3. They also had single seater IL-2 version. I would put old Tamiya or old Monogram pilot and gunner figures in my kits instead of all the cockpit detail. Also use cutting tools for wheels up version. Can,t have a dogfight without wheels up and no crew. Much more fun to paint pilot figures.

I noticed a detail in your great arsenal of resources and model customizations: I think, in addition to dirt, dust and wear and tear by the time, you could add details of the onboard staff, such as towels, backpacks, photographs, extra parachutes, water, boots and supply and ammo boxes .
