Naseem Amrohvi was a poet and lexicographer, renowned for the compilation of the reliable dictionary Naseem-ul-Lughat. In the realm of poetry, he is most cherished for his marsiyas, and is hailed as one of the greatest poets of the genre. Due to his expertise in lexicography, his marsiyas are a treasure trove of vocabulary and idiomatic expressions.
