What I like about Illenium is that on the rare occasion his songs are about drugs and partying (actually I think only has one song about addiction) he doesn't talk about how fun it is, it's about the struggle and consequences that come with it and not all artists can admit to their fans their problems and that's what I like about him #Respect

One night I had so many terrible thoughts in my head I was youtubing music to make me feel better. When I finished a song called Reverie from Illenium it hit me so hard in the feels that I once the song finished I simply thought "I want to make other people feel like this" now thanks to illenium I am trying to learn music production and in turn make other people feel something like I did because of this amazing artist.

Sebz that’s so awesome! His music is so powerful. The first time I ever heard his music was the song “It’s All On U” and I literally had to pull my car over cause I had so many emotions going through me I couldn’t focus on driving it was so powerful. 4 years ago I used to promote music on YT and SoundCloud, and I remember asking illenium for the permission to use and promote his work, and he said yes, I was stuned..Now I see why, you are a grounded and a very good person. wow i just woke up to this. im an addict for 13 years. i never knew my favorite producer had addiction issues. i love how he found creativity opposed to drugs. this is beautiful! wow im blown away. illenium you have helped me sooo much through my addiction. i have 1 year and 5 months clean off hard drugs. thank you for your music you inspire me you have held my hand through the toughest times in my life lots of love 💜❤💙crystal

music has saved so many lives it's bonkers. imagine a world without music. there would be no one to relate to in your darkest times that you can't speak out about. there would be no tropical island to escape to when your house has a bad atmosphere. & no way of finding musical related love (at festivals and events). music is life.

I love you Illenium. I've been listening to your music since 2016 and I've struggled with depression and addiction and your music is pure therapy. I saw you perform at Lost Lands 2017 and I literally cried. I'm currently 17 days clean from opiates and you're truly an inspiration.

His music has helped me through some of the darkest days of my life, and helps me fight depression every single day.

I have heared a lot of stories about addiction and now I can really fell how it is felling through your music. I have searched on Internet about your story to understand better. I can only say that I have a belief in God. I know not all people belive in God but for me, He helps me to get out of problems or even addictions . So, I can say: The belief in any God (depend on belief, there are different Gods) can help you make through it (like in my situation) in the easiest way possible or better than you thought. I love your music and I respect you even you have a belief or not!
