I listened to the songs of the other artists and I'm not only saying this because I'm a Porter fan but he really did deserve to win. I love how ''revolutionary'' Porter is, he doesn't follow the trend and I love him for that.

There should be an entire grammy for "solo album" for people like Madeon, Porter, etc who mix and produce a WHOLE album without 6 producers and 4 engineers

Interviewer: What did you have for breakfast this morning? Porter: Well, it all really started when I was out late partying last night. It was intense, I was at a 4 hour set and really had to pee the whole time. That made me realize, wow, is this the type of life style I want to live for the rest of my life? Am I being honest with myself? I decided to change everything. I consulted with a therapist, and he told me to go back to my roots. I decided that I will, for now on, eat Trix cereal every morning. I found that action very nostalgic and beautiful, like I was reliving through my happiest days of when I was a kid playing Knights of the Old Republic and this Japanese arcade game called Dance Dance Revolution. I told my friend Madeon, in which we talked over an electronic music production forum at the time, of my idea, and we both found it very inspiring creatively. I had finally struggled out of this hole I was in with this new life style.

I was front and center for his show at the 1720 warehouse and holy tits that was literally the best experience of my entire life. 4 hours of nonstop virtual self in a tiny space where he's 5 feet away from me going hard as all fuck. Nothing could top the energy and perfection in the air that night.
