Join the decisive aerial battle of the 20th Century - The Battle of Britain. Zoom over the white cliffs as a Fighter pilot in the Spitfires and Hurricanes of the Royal Air Force, or pilot the black crossed Bf-109's and Bf-110's of the Luftwaffe and the Italian Fiat G-50 of the Regia Aeronautica. Accept the technical challenge of flying bombers or attack aircraft like the German Junkers 88, Heinkel and Stuka, the Italian Fiat BR-20, or the British Bristol Blenheim or Beaufighter. IL-2 STURMOVIK: CLIFFS OF DOVER: BLITZ EDITION is the completely revised re-release from 1C Games with graphics upgraded to DX 11, new aircraft, and new Flight and Damage models.

Hi all, sorry about the qualify of the video, the raw footage had some issues and the video editor would not create a proxy cache so I edited it like a powerpoint presentation so its a little bit rough with timing and edit cut aways/transitions.

12:37 That shows the true horror of war - keep watching as the pilot bails out of his burning plane and then watch as he plummets towards the sea, with his parachute little more than ashes... imagine that poor bastard's last moments. Countless men met their end in that fashion.

You like to fly the Hurricane and it shows, Taff. Perfect 3-point landings every time.
This reminds me of when I was on holiday in Newchurch I stumbled upon a gravestone belonging to a pilot named Arthur W Clarke who flew in a Hurricane with 504 Squadron based at RAF Northolt during the Battle of Britain. He was reported Killed In Action on September 11th 1940.
Enemy tail gunner"Fritz, there are bandits at our 6" Pilot: " Ok Oleg, shoot him down." TG: "There's more than one, it's the Englanders..." P: "Well, what, like 3 or" TG: "It's the WHOLE COUNTRY!" 16:06 It's maddening to me how the AI can fly straight and level perfectly, and the split second you get lined up and pull the trigger they jink before the BBs get there. Even when you're below and behind where there's no way for them to see you coming!
I think you narrowly avoided becoming the fuel bowser's third victim, a shame we didn't get to see whether it blew up or not but I probably wouldn't have risked taxiing over there to find out in case it survived it's date with the hangar wall.
Did that German who bailed (second one) chute open? I never saw. Looked like he did a freefall into the channel.

Awesome video! I really enjoy the Hurricane from the Cliffs of Dover, specially the machine gun sounds. lol

12:40 there is something oddly satisfying about watching that pilot fly into nothingness.
That 109 Pilot at 12:58 bailed but never opened his chute...he went straight in the drink from altitude? N00t had to be driving that Cider Bowser LMFAO

The Hurricane I was a lot slower than the Spitfire I, but was easier to take off and land, and was a more stable gun platform. Perfect for pouring bullets into German bombers. It could easily out turn the Bf 109E but was much inferior in climb rate.

Love a bit of clod action, a very underrated game. Always find it a lot tougher to get kills than great battles, certain elements such as the sea are so much nicer as well than great battles, damage modelling as well has the edge.

How those AI Hurricanes didn't clean you out in the attack on the float plane is a mystery to me, and if that is not enough for you, you've gotta watch out for those Kamikaze fuel bowsers on the ground!🤣 It's clear you've got the landings in a Mk1 Hurricane sorted! Two 10/10 three-point landings for sure!
Fact: First kill of my paternal grandpa actually _was_ a German waterplane while he was flying a Hurricane 😁👍 - and he got injured so badly that they almost sent him back home.

I know you have probably already tried this and have your own preference, but I found that my accuracy actually improved a lot when I stopped zooming in while firing. Anyway, Great video!

Playing @ 4K , you can see the shape of the aircoolers under the wings, making it easy to identify aircraft.
I fly the 109 - F ... a good Hurricane pilot is a force to be reckoned with... DO NOT ENTER INTO A TURN FIGHT.... keep your speed up and go vertical and extend away....
I do like this game, though I wish they'd get the VR support out a little quicker. But it is a nice change from BoX. I really enjoy the early aircraft, and the change of scenery doesn't hurt either. The new sky tech they just started showing off looks amazingly good as well.

I know the reputation of the Hurricane. But I never really cared much for the aircraft. Maybe I was just 'spitty spoiled!' While the Hurricane was the real backbone of the RAF, the Spits got all the glory.
I do not understand why you dont move to jet simuls, it seems the natural progression.

How do you get into the bomb sight of bombers???? I tried everything. I get to the bombers position and there is dials thats it. I have clicked on everything but no sight.
