Funny how the Tempest entered service just 4 years after the Fairey Battle was the raf's principal ground attack plane yet the Hawker Harrier had a service career of over forty years!

They're 2 different things entirely Ones is an outdated prop from ww2 and the other is one of few jets of its kind still functioning

Late I the war attacking German airfields was a suicide mission read "the big show" by Pierre Clostermann attacked airfields in tempests I had tears in my eyes

That is an incredible book. Best military aviation book I’ve ever read.

9:38 the best-case scenario for that last parachute was two shattered legs.

Good gameplay

Reading the book “Tempest V vs FW-190D-9” by Robert Forsyth comes in handy here indeed especially about the Tempest and tactics employed.

Hello Fishyyy, it is always a pleasure to watch your cool videos . I learned much about the limitations of the FMB. Have you ever tried to attack a "Bomber Pulk" (Combat box) with Nebelwerfer 21 = Döddel ? Or did i missed it ? The AI can't use them in air-to-air-combat. My settings: Range 800 or 900 m and delay 4.4 seconds. This offers the opportunity to attack beyond the range of the brownings.

I don't often use the rockets, because it's easy to hit a wrong bomber. When you shoot down element leaders, the rest of the formation slowly crashes into each other, so you have to basically hope not to do so. kzread.info/dash/bejne/oXZlupR_hpXcpps.html However I did use the rockets before, in two videos: kzread.info/dash/bejne/npenqryAlNjIk6Q.html and kzread.info/dash/bejne/lq171aWFotPdodo.html

Hi all. I tried to install the Nakajima B5N2 'Kate' on my IL2 but it said that there was no free space on my disk. Do any of you have a way to get around this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@@Fishyyy Yes the effects were very good. You did it just right. I have seen some that are over done and don't look good. Thanks for the update. I was watching the video from my small screen cell phone and missed the description you provided sorry.

How big were these props? 6" ground clearance when level.

The only Bristish planes I like are the Hurricane and Beaufighter.

Is there a way to get a 4k resolution or at the least a 1080 res with this game every time I try it just defaults back to 1200 x something?

Weren't typhoon mainly used for close air support? and tempest for interception and killing 262 and such? someone please do inform me if i'm wrong

springles read a book by Pierre Cloisterman. He flew tempests and typhoons in ww2. That should shed some light for you mon amie

Borytastards He is right, the Tempest was approved for the RP-3 however they never carried rockets in wartime - in fact only a single squadron even carried bombs, and not until the very last month of the war. EDIT: Clostermann flew Spitfires before flying Tempests and never Typhoons.

Clostermann flew Typhon at least once converting from Spitfire to Tempest.

Bro how are you so good at dogfight can you teach because when i use a f4u corsair and my enemy is zero i would always get shot and get stall which is very annoying my flight is: boast/wep enabled flaps:combat but i will still get stall when i pull the plane up in a low ocean

I'm not sure how I can help you with that. Sounds like you should be relegated to janitorial duties. You don't turnfight in Corsair, you fly in straight lines.

GamingKillerYT Keep your speed up and don't try to dogfight. Climb above your opponent, dive and attack then use your speed in the dive to climb above him again for another pass if the first one didn't work.

You don't pay attention, either. I didn't tell you to fly in "syraight" lines. That's okay. Just keep doing what you aren't doing very well and you will continue to get shot down.

The Zero is a tough opponent. If you got any of the three main mods then you got the improved more realistic AI and that AI is as good and even better than some players. The Zero is very deadly in the hands of that AI. Try rookie difficulty?

Mark 5 Tempests firing rockets? And taking on enemy fighters while still carrying the rockets?

@@DarkenedFantasies "Tempest Mk. V was tested and cleared to carry 8 zero length 60 lb ground attack rockets. But it was never used operationally during the war. After the war, when used on Mk.
