Ikea SEGLARO Parasol | Back Garden Patio | Review Unboxing
The Ikea seglaro parasol is a great addition to our garden patio, this umbrella is really well built and worth the money in my opinion. In this video I will show you how to assemble, use and care and protect the Ikea seglarö parasol. Not only is this umbrella parasol very functional and practical it also enhances your garden decor with its attractive base and cream finish. This Ikea seglaro review was requested by a viewer and in the hope to not disappoint I hope it will help you as you compare whats on the market.
I hope that by know you would have come to the realisation that am all about living my dadlife which is whyI do believe this is the best outdoor umbrella for the money and its from Ikea which is a reputable company.

    Hi Country Gal I'm glad it was helpful. Yes it's huge. We went on a bit of a quest trying to find one in stock last year. It's worth every penny. I have noticed that Ikea has increased the price since last year by quite a lot. A shame really. Still the best I've seen for the price though. Make sure you get a cover to protect it over the winter and when it's not in use. And yes our garden has been a real labour of love. It's been transformed from a wasteland to our little paradise. We are in the process of building a shed and a green house now.

    Hi Samran Thanks a lot. I'm happy you found it useful. I really love this parasol. We have just uncovered it for this year's hot weather. It's holding up well and I'm glad I bought a cover for it. The price has gone up so much since we bought it and it doesn't seem like IKEA sells the swivel base anymore, well at least I couldn't find it on the website. I really love the base. One thing I would say is that this thing is huge so make sure you have enough space for it to open 👍🏾 Enjoy your summer 🌞

    Hiya No problem It's a really lovely umbrella. I haven't actually removed ours over the winter although that would be the best practice 😄 We have a cover which works well the protect the canopy and it's been fine for the past few years. I recently checked the price and it's so expensive to purchase now. I'm not even sure that IKEA still sells the base that swivels. How long have you had yours. We bought ours with the base for £165 which now looking back at it was a bargain. Now it's over £300+

    😂 I think that is pretty much everyone who bought one 😅 It's fantastic when the sun is blazing but if space is limited they it's a bit of a challenge. I can't wait to get ours out again. Be sure to get a covering for it to protect it from birds and the weather over winter. I got one from Amazon but IKEA also sells one. It's really good to cover it . Ours still looks great years later. Lastly be sure not to leave it up overnight ore instead especially in strong winds. Seems like a no-brainer but you may become tempted as I always a couple times 😅 With the cost of these things you can't risk breaking it. Did you get the swivel base?

    Fair enough. I am more concerned over the base as it's a thin plastic and I wonder how the changing seasons and elements will affect the lid. I may well have to get ours in storage too. We hardly used it this year as the summer was non-existent. Here's hoping for a better year in 2024

    Hi Penelope I'm so happy this has been helpful. I will do a follow up video as the weather warms up this is to see how it has aged under use and weather conditions. We've only used the umbrella once this year because we wanted to have dinner outside but it was raining 😅 This is one of the benefits of having such a large umbrella. And it is very wide so be warned 😀 Thanks again for watching

    @@ShortySanchezNY Hi Shorty Glad the video was useful 😃 It's held up pretty well in the years since we bought it. The cover really is essential over the winter. We leave it uncovered over the summer as we tend to use it quite often except this year has been terrible so far 😔 I bought a generic cover from Amazon you can probably search for a 3 mitre cover or perhaps IKEA sells one. Hope that helps

    Thank you 😀 Well I'm 6 foot 2 inches and I don't have any problem using it. It's been great. More importantly I would say is to make sure you have space to fit it as it is very wide 😲. Also when closing it it's important not to have anything below that would stop it closing completely for example chairs and tables. I will do a follow up review in a couple of months to see how it is aging throughout the changing seasons ☁️🌡️

    Why did you use water instead of sand? Won't you have to keep topping it up, where as sand would be fine for ages.

    Great question 😅 I did it for 2 reasons, 1. to see how long it will take to dry out, call it an experiment and 2. the sand can get messy I guess but I may use it in the future if the water dry out during the summer.

  • @TheMalcolms7

    @TheMalcolms7

    Жыл бұрын

    Hey spy ninja! Thanks for getting in touch. Funny, you should ask about the base as I went on to the IKEA website recently searching for the current price of the base plus the parasol and I was shocked with how expensive the parasol is now compared to and I bought it a couple years ago. I was even more surprised that the base is no longer available for sale, which in my opinion was equally as awesome as the giant parasol and I do mean giant 💪😁 Sadly, I haven't been able to find an alternative to this swivel base that IKEA seems to have discontinued. Perhaps if you do some hunting through Google you might be able to find something similar, but I haven't had any luck just yet. I want to do a review on the parasol and the base as a few years has past since we first gave it a home. Saturday the weather has been terrible this past month here in the UK so here's hoping that August will change things. And yes, that's a big hope 🙏 Have you bought the parasol already? I would still recommend it, however without the base It probably feels like you're missing out on a key component. Plus the price is just astronomical. But then again I guess that's the way things are across the board.

    @@callanhowe-robinson5456 Hi Anne 👋🏾 Thank you so much for getting in touch. I am so grateful that this video has been of help to you. We absolutely adore this garden parasol. We've probably had it for 3 years now and it's still in fantastic condition. The base is an absolute game changer especially because of how huge it is. I'm quite surprised that IKEA no longer seems to stock that swivel base anymore. At least here in the UK. Glad you were able to get it over there in Australia. How much did you pay for it over there in Australia?. It is going up so much in price here in the UK. Yes, you are right. Getting a good cover is essential and it will help it to last for years. Here are a couple links to some on amazon. These should fit just right. Dale universal ones but they're quite large at 3 m so they should be okay. amzn.to/3Sx5Tq4 amzn.to/3vQ3xJW
