Here in Holland you can get new fabric for €60 (and I assume in any ikea all over the world), the majority of the pricing of the parasol is in the stand. You could try to clean your fabric and if it ruins it, buy new fabric... I am also considering this parasol now.

The green deposit on the surface is algae. Shouldn't be too difficult to clean off with white vinegar and laundry detergent 😊

Thanks David! Was worried the cleaning might remove some waterproofing, but it's better than the green!

Hello from CHARLOTTE NC. Thanks for the information/review. We recently bought one with a black cover. Just want to know if it’s possible to rotate the umbrella or place the base on the smaller side of a rectangular table instead of the middle ?

Hi thanks for the kind question -- you can rotate the umbrella - it is HUGE so for us we have to put the base to the side of the table, the thick pole is too big to go in the middle of the table, like a usual parasol or sun shade... Hope this helps and good luck with your parasol - the black cover sounds good!

The table. Why didn’t you protect and paint it? You will prob need to sand them down now. I have the chairs and a bench. Went with a thick dark black. It’s almost like waterproof now. Rain rolls off.

I keep looking at that, looks like a great parasol but as you said it is a tad pricey. Still though I think it's worth it and 1 day I think I will get one :)

It was eye watering at the time, then it went up even more after we got it! It was during lockdown and spending so much time not going anywhere... Still not going anywhere! Haha

@@welshtony1 Thanks Tony, it's a slog! Nice getting some cash but its not enough to live on so seeing how much I can get out this year... The hardest part is fighting my brain stopping me from getting them out!

Hi I've got one of these second hand last year but didn't use it last year apart from test of position as so huge...it just stood in the garden with its cover on. This year its been up so looked to see if can get the replacement cover which they no longer seem to do 220cm type. Happened to notice the cream one has come down to 150 and now you can get replacement sun material but only in anthracite for £50. But there are a few gazebo companies making covers for it as well but slightly more but can then get a beige canopy. When I'd looked at previous reviews when was looking to buy this second hand one I bought they didn't do replacement covers and it was that which was mosts biggest bad mark on it as rendered it useless if got badly torn. They now do it in anthracite but eye wateringly expensive still.
