Yes this is "NEW" - There was an omission on the previous upload. So, if you you've already watched it, please skip to "Chapter 4" for the extra step. Soz.

Great démo but why are you putting the automation logic in the ESP32 rather than Home Assistant?

many reasons... 1. I like to distribute my automation(s) and use the ESP Chips to do as much a possible 2. HA Starts/Re-Starts faster if there's less for it to load/re-load 3. I like coding on ESP chips 😊

Do you see a difference in the effectiveness (the time needed to reduce the PM 2.5 from 1000 µg/m3 to 500 µg/m3) of the filter when new vs dirty?

Not yet... But, I'll let you you know when/if the filter gets dirty. 😊

Hi there! Nice video 🎉 do you know if it’s still possible to access the gpio pin of the rpi running HA?

Hi, thanks you. Glad you like it. As for RPi GPIO: From what I remember, they removed that function a while back.

@@ha-cn4wu Doesn't it depend on your HA install? If you're not using HAOS, you have a real access to the OS and should be able to create code that has access to the GPIO, shouldn't you?

in my opinion yes - you are right. Using haos does not allow you. Using core install will allow if you. That is what I discovered recently - my trick will be to use esphome to do what I want

"Air quality" - So moisture is bad with this sensor.. So have a humiture or take a shower?? Yeah, bad air... This sensor was a waste of $$$ for myself..

"Bad Air" = High Particle Count = High Fan speed. It has nothing to do with moisture!!
