I love that you spend some of your time helping the boys that need good mentors, I've been thinking of trying something like this in my church, might have to get some ideas from you, don't have one of these tractors YET but am looking, Love your find

That low boy looks like a 1955-56 model based on the grill and the aluminum plates on the side of the hood. Grandpa had a 1955 standard Cub with the exact same grill and the aluminum Farmall Cub plates. It also had the horizontal exhaust like the low boy. I'm like you Pat. I like to see them restored but I love to see them out in the field working.

Buch tractor store in Burlington Nc has all the parts u need but if u want to go check out the 3 point hitch I made for my cub is on KZread at B&H farm

I think I am much like you, in that the search and the people are a major part of the purchase. I have put many thousands of miles chasing tractors. I am “blaming” Joey at JTWES for my Farmall addiction. Finest kind! I don’t have much farmable land but too many tractors. Yes, even parts tractors. The equipment is the most difficult for me to locate/purchase. As you said it seems to run in streaks. No equipment, then too much and too far away. Ugh. I am going to attempt Joey’s plow day, tractor less however. I hope to meet you there. 700 miles + for me, one way.

I guess there could be worse addictions...Right? Lol! Joey is a great guy! The equipment is a little tricky to track down for sure!! I'm excited to meet you as well...don't worry about bringing a tractor-you are more than welcome to take a turn on one of mine!

@@aroundtheshop9615 Thanks for the reply, and the offer to use one of your tractors. I appreciate it. I do hope to make Joey’s plow day, just at 75 I’m dreading the trip. Crazy/stupid as I drove to Western Oklahoma last year to pickup two Asian tractors. One I use, the other I need to flip. Location is central MI.
