Nice Pete I hope not to have that problem with my 86 series tractor one had the muffler delete when I bought it 35 years ago and the other one has always been fine but they are inside most of the time!

Fits like a glove!! Some aftermarket parts are pretty good, others are 💩.. You just don't know until you get them. Lmao 🤣😂 and now you say "fits like a glove". Glad you got it done properly Pete!

I can't remember where I got my 1086 muffler, but other than needing help getting it on, all is good.

I suppose there might still be a few IH originals mufflers collecting dust on a shelf somewhere. Sure happy I found this one.

Thomure mfg. muffler eliminator, gets the heat out from under the hood, and sounds really good to boot😏

Thanks, but I've reached the age where I'd really rather have a muffler.

I also see you have the handrail on the right side I made my handrail myself with a pc of 1” emt conduit and bent it to fit.

Good idea! Handrail makes getting in and out much better.

NOS Sure ain't too cheap but better to do the Job once and for all. As i say BUY ONCE CRY ONCE!!! IT'll last another 50 years. Aftermarket parts sure are a Absoute Joke. Nice work take care

Man yeah Mr Pete, that worked in your favor sure enough!! That was so nice to see that IH symbol and made in the USA there on the nos piece 😉 I was sure , almost positive you had given in to the straight pipe noise and did a muffler delete 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I had a "new to me silencer" on the little road tractor yesterday!! Those days of noise are behind me😁 Thank you sir, looking fwd to seeing it doing the tillage, whether that's chisel or moldboard 😉 Thank you sir for bringing us along!! 😁😁👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
