I accept I will never be the best and don't have to be. I would still rather listen to some guitarists not nearly as good as this guy technically. Music is an art form not a competition.

@@baronvonlichtenstein I feel the same way. I use his playing as an inspiration not something to beat. I'm sure he would love that more than someone trying to beat him. Music is all about collaboration anyway. He has his inspirations too. Music is about taking what you love and showing your interpretation of it

Igor and I were members of the same guitar forum a few years back. He's always been a super nice dude and a MONSTER player. Happy to see he's finally getting some of the recognition he deserves!

This man does not get the recognition he deserves. He is clearly a top tier guitarist for skills , versatility , creativity and feel. With all due respect I think he is better than some big names out there. Let’s not waste his best years and make him known to the world. A performer like this is generational.

its so awesome to be playing 30+ years and discover this guy 3 days ago. im finally at the point in my playing where im actually learning from this guy. ive learned more about shredding in one day watching his videos that i have in years of practice. igor is a monster. wow.

..this had been done to death by so many it's not even interesting anymore...not knocking his ability to run scales and sweep sweep sweep.... He can shred; in that same worn out vein... seen all this 25 years ago

It's very good but not insanely hard by todays standards. You can achieve this level of playing in a reasonable amount of time.

It's not how long you practice. It's what and how you go about it. I've met dudes that have been playing for a year to a year and half doing this shit. While after playing everyday for five years at the time and I couldn't do half the shit.

@@TheLemonKiller Absolutely right. If you are practicing the right things from the beginning you can get good fast. I took the long road but I eventually got to where I can play pretty well. I have played about 20 years. I'm 33 and started when I was 12 or 13. I wish I would have been more serious of a student the first 7 or so years I played. I was more interested in playing and not so much learning lol. We all find our way in time. I'm just happy I stuck with it and eventually did learn the right stuff!

@@TheLemonKiller it also matters a great deal how much time day you have to play each day. I started playing my last year in grad school. Now I work 10 hours a day most day. It's a struggle to get an hour a day. If I started in highschool, I could have easily played 6 hours a day.

Definitely one of my favorite guitar pieces. Perfect balance between shred and feel! 👌🏼 Also love his way of spicing things up with whammy bar when needed.

Igor is such an underrated guitarist - that shredding is fire 🔥 and that D minor sweeping arpeggio with the tap at around 0:41 sounds so sick!

He's ONE with that instrument! U can tell by the way the fingers move on the fretboard, it looks like hes not even putting that much pressure on the neck. He's just stroking that thing!!!
This guy in particular is lighting up the fire for shredding in me again, I don't know why but it catches me A LOT
Too many people playing neo metal, finger picking shredding nowadays and I am getting bored of that style. And god this vid refresh me. Feels good man.

I have been trying so hard for the past few weeks to bring this one up to speed. I have the scales down and for the most part know what goes where but, jeez the speed is so breakneck he is wildly good and I am just gonna have to (key word) *keep trying* 😂

I don't know how to explain it in english.. But I play electric guitar fore more than 20 years now and it's interesting how actual guitarists can play things that back in the days were so hard to play... I mean it's just "shred" but it's like a surgery, not even a false note in the whole song, it sounds perfectly fluent when it's so hard to play.. Awesome job.

J'ai dix ans de conservatoire en classique débuté à 7ans , puis j'ai bossé, shreddé, pratiqué 3 à 4 h par jour, j'ai 44 ans et...ce mec me trou le c.. il a une maîtrise presque absolue de l'instrument, il y du boulot derrière mais surtout un talent hors norme. 🤘

Its sad how Igor is one of those few really really incredibly amazing players that never got the world-wide recognition, money and fame that other much less capable players have. So many rich and famous musicians don't even possess 1/10th the skills he does. Igor is ferociously bad ass.
