Relaxing after the hottest weekend of the year camping trip and unloading my BMX of the stuff I didn't use.

You also put the ice onto warm food. I have this cooler. Just bought it 3 weeks ago. Used it for 5 days. 85 ° everyday. Still had ice on 5th day.

I have the 52 quart version of this cooler and it’s worked great so far!! Took it camping in July last summer for a 4 day trip and 2 bags of ice lasted the whole time. This was in 85-90 degree temps outside. I’m considering getting the 72 quart for our next trip.

Great review. Real world. I’m considering getting the 72 qt. Overland which is basically this cooler with wheels and a handle. I’m pretty convinced I’m getting it. Plenty of space and seems very well constructed.

I got the bmx 25 as a gift. Works great. Held ice an entire weekend on the 4th. Only complaint is no top drink holders (like my pelican 20qt).

I just bought one of these, but a step down in size, the 52 qt. (They offer a 25 qt. BMX even!) for 90$ at target, white though, I didn't know there was greens!! Put 10 lbs of ice in it with a 6 pack and a steak, which is not enough, the 52 qt. will hold at least 2 ice bags with food/drinks. About half the ice melted after 24 hours. Pretty sure most of the heat leakage in coolers is due to air leaking around the lid seal (just an assumtion) though that drain plug probably isn't a great insulator. I got back to town and put a 5$ silicone weather seal strip from home depot in the groove on the lid of the igloo, it fit perfectly, you can't do that if the lid just slips into the base, I assume igloo left the gasket off because a physically "locked" cooler with a gasket will blow up if you put dry ice in and then they have to warantee the cooler. With the weather strip the rubber straps seal the lid tighter, they don't seem to seal very tight without the seal (almost effortless to latch it shut). I also assume coolers are all just styrofoam wrapped in plastic, styrofoam is an excellent insulator even at 1/8" like on drink cups, so I'm hoping that's how this is constructed though I've read some reviews of people saying it was doubtful. I assume the cost of the yeti is in large part to do with the roto molding, seems to make a cleaner look than the injection molding of the igloo but push pin blemishes aren't a deal breaker for me. But you won't win any pissing contests with injection molding ejection pin blemishes.

I had not even considered purchasing an Igloo until I watched this. My problem is that I have a bad back and can not carry very much weight and most of the coolers I was contemplating buying weighed a ton even when they were empty. This cooler sounds like a good option. Thank you for making this video it is very much appreciated.

My old school metal Coleman with the metal latch works pretty well, some may have no idea what I'm talking about.

5/16 weathering strip in lid makes it a yeti for quarter of the price. 👍

Yeti is a trick. Bougie youngsters like them. They can use them at the apartment complex pissing match as a leg up over the competition. Pun intended. They hold the cooler competition right before the parking lot car stereo sound off competition and after the bong rip comp. To be honest I watched this and went and bought me a BMX and have loved it! Thank you!
