"Why don't you come up here on stage and dance with the fucking Stooges!" Iggy Pop declared early on tonight. At his request, fans vaulted over barricades to join the Godfather and his merry men, The Stooges, on stage for the rowdy classic 'Fun House'. This old-school punk party has truly begun.
Engulfed by the crowd and chaos, the band brought the fun and the fury, setting the tone for an electrifying night out at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion. Along with cuts from latest album 'Ready To Die', the punk powerhouse tore through their coveted back catalogue including defining moments like 'No Fun', 'I Want To Be Your Dog' and 'Search and Destroy'.

its always been one of my favorites even when i felt it was unheard, and even if it was would not be understood anyway. of course that was 1976. i just saw them do this at a crazy rock festival in central wisconsin, actually near my long lost home town..
The world will always miss this Band!
They sound great.
When James’ Les Paul Custom Silverburst kicks in, I swore I jumped.. prime example of rock.. I can only hope to write a song as great as this.

My mom saw The Stooges at the Goose Lake Festival in 1970. It was $15 for the three day event, and there were a ton of big names.

I fucking hate that I'm 17. I really wish I was around in the 1960s, so I could see him live. He doesn't perform as much anymore (I completely understand why) and whenever Iggy does it's never near my area. Iggy Pop is just so incredible and I feel like seeing him live would be such an amazing experience.

Well, a lot of times he could be a jerk and walk off the stage, ending the concert, which sucked. He's mellowed some. The Sydney Opera House concert seems to be the ultimate culmination.
