I can’t believe you don’t have 1M+ subs like El Estepario. You don’t just care about flexing on people, you actually care about HELPING other drummers!😊

During the time in my life when I was at my best, I used this method all the time, I'm talking back in the sixties. After practicing on a pillow I would get on my drums and play effortlessly. I became a bit of a legend in the area I lived in.

I did that as a kid to not annoy the neighbours and it did wonders to the chops. Now I'm using a moongel workout pad.

This is great and you gained a subscriber! I really like that you talk about how LONG to practice. Most videos just show the exercises but never tell you, hey, you should seriously play for a long time.

Haha you're probably right. The glue is worn out on the rubber and is coming off the wood, but I love it.

That poor pillow 😢 Beaten it up💪🏿. One thing that would help me follow your notation would be, if like another instructor, to put left and right strokes on separate lines. I read music notation well but at higher speeds trying to read letters written at the bottom of the staff while focusing on the actual rhythm just doesn't work for me. I can however follow left and right strokes when the notes are offset by just one line/space. Love your energy and I will sub and likeey!👍🥁

Great video, however, I think 3 to 4 hours of practice time every day is for single people or people who don’t have jobs lol. I’m married and have kids and I don’t think my wife would appreciate me spending 3 to 4 hours practicing everyday when I get home from work! 😂

Haha yep that was my practice routine in college! But also, the end of the video gives a more realistic approach. 10 minutes at the beginning of every practice session will make a huge difference.

Haha that's what my high school teacher used to say to me and it's stuck in my mind. "Put on a baseball game and chop out!"
