Learning how to practice is one of the most challenging parts of learning how to drum. Play along with these guided drum lessons and I'll teach you how to practice and get better right now.
Pff, I have a long way to go ( I play drums for 5 months now btw). I can get tot max 120 BPM with singles. The weird thing, with doubles I can get to 150 PBM (push pull ). For me this feels so much more easy. Is this weird?
@DrumWithBPMКүн бұрын
That's totally normal, when you're learning drums some skills will come more naturally than others. I'd highly recommend you look at the Intro to Singles Video, then work through Singles at 100-110bpm, then 110-120bpm, then 120-130 bpm to see if you can get through to the next tempo. kzread.info/head/PLjMBG4Gr3g_G4oUI-JwsWfQC7vSC7_wAi If you want, send me a video and I'll give you some feedback [email protected]

Could it be that the phrases at the bottom do not match de video? Where is the whole exercise in PDF?
@DrumWithBPM18 күн бұрын
The phrases should line up on the bottom of the screen. Unless you see a spot where it doesn't! Please let me know if you see a time where they are out of sync. I don't have the whole exercise available as a PDF at this time, but since this is a repetitive exercise you could certainly memorize it.

Great video, however, I think 3 to 4 hours of practice time every day is for single people or people who don’t have jobs lol. I’m married and have kids and I don’t think my wife would appreciate me spending 3 to 4 hours practicing everyday when I get home from work! 😂

That poor pillow 😢 Beaten it up💪🏿. One thing that would help me follow your notation would be, if like another instructor, to put left and right strokes on separate lines. I read music notation well but at higher speeds trying to read letters written at the bottom of the staff while focusing on the actual rhythm just doesn't work for me. I can however follow left and right strokes when the notes are offset by just one line/space. Love your energy and I will sub and likeey!👍🥁

These drills are so insanely straightforward but so, so useful. I'd also add that this series is easily adapted for weaker hand training. Instead of alternating hands every one or two bars, do three bars with the weak hand then one on the strong (twice), followed by weak-hand-lead singles for the two bars.
