I survived one as a child. I've been tired before, exhausted even, but that was a draining experience that I still remember. My mother was pacing the beach hollering at me to swim parallel to the shore. From then on, I paid/pay attention to the rip tide caution flags. You always think you'd be able to outswim it, but to the ocean, you're just a little beach.

We blamed it on a deity or some religions even blamed it on multiple deities. I blame it on chemistry. It might have been some higher power that started the process but chemistry finished it.

I was wondering if a rip tide could be explained well. It can in fact, never be mentioned in the video once. The important thing to remember if caught in a rip tide event, is to conserve energy and breath, don't waste your strength to early, you're in for a fight. But do not panic or stress. Swim diagonally to the shore, with the current, slow and steady. Do not become short of breath, the wave intersections will pull you under and possibly roll you. That's when you might drown if your already struggling or cramping up. Good luck out there.

These videos be like: If you see square waves in the water get out. Square waves are made of water. Water is wet and has been around for along as we've been around. Waters molecular structure is set in a certain way that makes it ideal for drinking. Fish live in water and who doesn't like to eat fish. *ten minutes later* So if you see square waves it means riptide. The end

I'd think this would make this one of the safer beaches. Every beach on the planet experiences rip currents but at least here, there's easily visible signs. At the others, many don't know the signs of rip currents, especially tourists and they end up going in and not being able to get out safely.

Watch & Listen to the video. They are very rare. They do happen in other remote islands But we can only see them from that one place in France. If you go to that location and you get lucky you can see the square waves from the nearby lighthouse or from above. 😀
