I’m seeing a lot of comments asking what to do if you have to see that person every day. Despite the pain that it will cause you, despite the fact that they are close to your circle, you still cannot interact with them. Because the second you begin engaging with them any progress you have made will be undone. The literal only way to fully heal is to avoid contact. It will take longer if they happen to be around you because of something like school, but you will still heal so long as you are not continuing some sort of verbal or physical contact with them. Hang in there.

@@RobAngeles I am very sorry you had to go through this My update: It’s been close to 3 years, I still sometimes wonder what went wrong but I would say to some extend it doesn’t hurt anymore. However I haven’t dated anyone in that timeframe. And he (my ex) did comeback but it wasn’t anything serious. My advice for you, cry as much as you want because you are sad you need to let it out. I know this sounds cliche but focusing on yourself will divert your mind. Like go for walks, learn some new skills, have a glow up. And don’t just jump into a relationship, not only will you bring out the trauma from the previous connection but you cannot give 100 percent either Take atleast some time off If I was to go back I would advice myself to focus on myself instead of crying and being depressed in bed. I needed this. The passed month of my life has sucked major balls. I used to be best friends with my ex, and she was there for me during my first real heartbreak. We ended up dating (for 6 months), losing our virginities to each other, etc. I was there for her at the lowest points in her life (she was touched by her father as a child, and was depressed) and she was there for me at my lowest points. Then one day she told me her mom found out we had sex and that I'm never allowed to see her again. It was terrible because I couldn't control anything. Then people started telling me that she faked the breakup, even though I got texts from her moms phone. 2 weeks later she was already dating another guy and I got pissed and somehow I ended up beating the shit out of the guy. Today's my last day of oss. And it just sucks because not only did I lose my best friend, but I lost someone who I genuinely loved, even though I don't think they ever loved me back.

Just thought I’d share my story, when I was in high school I suffered from extreme anxiety and depression. I was an F student that wanted to drop out. And when I say anxiety I mean some of the worst my doctor has ever seen, I was on extreme medication for my problem. This girl, she was beautiful started talking to me( she was a junior and I was a senior) She showed me apart of myself I never though I had. My confidence rose and so did my motivation to graduate high school. This girl had saved my life, if it weren’t for her I wouldn’t be typing this right now. We spent all our time together, she went on my family camping trips and even vacations. I was going to have a family with this girl and in my heart I new I would want to marry her. Recently after my 20th birthday she said she no longer loved me and when I reached out to her pulling at straws to win her back she blocked me ignored me and treated me like a living piece of shit. I treated her like the world revolves around her and yet she didn’t appreciate a single thing. She made me seem like the bad guy. I’m honestly disgusted but I’m trying to move on and find peace. Thank you

Hi, idk if you will even read this but, I'm 17, had my first love 3 months ago, everything was picture perfect. We were relationship goals, she was my first girlfriend, and I thought she would be the last. I treated her like a princess, I was the confident nice guy. Then one day she called me and told me she still loved someone else. I didn't eat, or sleep for 2 days straight. I ugly cried everywhere over her. I was demolished. Then we try to make it work, everything was good and back to normal in a week, the she tells me she doesn't know what she wants. I didn't cry in front of her. I told her that one day she will realise she made a mistake to throw me away and that she blew her second chance. I don't want to be back with her agian, ever. Cr66p I had been with my girl since I was 17 and I just turned 20. She completely blocked me out of her life I can’t even contact her now and the pain I felt was so immense. I think the hardest part is knowing that she is out there and happier without me and at any moment in time she can find someone else. I've fucking had enough, I AM A MALE AND I GO THROUGH THIS STUFF TOO. To all the females saying stuff like "A boy's biggest lie is.." or " Boys always say they'll never ... Then do!" I am tired. I experience this stuff too. Sure it might not have been a relationship, but it meant more. I was best friends with a girl that meant so much to me and when i was sad she would say she loves me and she cares about me and she always made me happier. She would remind me that she loves me and that i matter to her and i would say these things to her at random times. We would send each other paragraphs every now and then when we are asleep so when we wake up we have something to look forward too. She was the only thing i cared about and the only thing keeping me stable. Then, Instead of saying "i love you too" in texts, she would respond "ilyt", then she stopped responding to "i love you" Until she stopped talking to me all together. I'm heartbroken and i feel like i'm not myself anymore, I want to try and keep her but I know there is nothing I can do, and it sucks when i see her in the hallway and pretend like i never knew her and that she never meant anything in my life even though she took up so much of my life and her leaving me was the biggest impact i've ever felt hit me. No, I don't want to get over the pain, No i do not want to forget her. I'm used to the pain. I just want her and she still means so much to me even though she probably forgot about me. Just because we don't talk anymore, doesn't mean I forgot about her. I really do. I do my best to check up on her, he hows she is doing, when it suddenly hits me that, we're strangers, you don't want me in your life, hence the reason i'm no longer part of her. But even though everything has changed, I just want her to know that i'm still here, i'll still be here for her. I'll still lend my shoulders and ears, I don't want her to hesitate to talk to me, because half the time, I wish that she was talking to me. I just miss her presence, I miss being her best friend. I miss her. You know what sucks? I don't know how to tell her that.

Having depression is the worst thing. Suffering every day, feeling emotional pain. Trying to find answers inside u. Not eating, not doing anything. Staying behind, feeling like you will die soon. I wish i was stonehearted. If you feel like me and you are reading this, you are not alone.

I also think that if you really want to be with someone you have to push them out of your life in order to discover who you are. Focus on work, school, and volunteering and if you find something wrong with yourself get help. In other words dont sit and around and cry over the memories. Memories happen cause there suppose to. Also if you feel bored or tired take a break. And whatever you dont write a long letter admitting that you were the only one at fault. There had to be something in the relationship that you didnt like or made you unhappy. Every girl or guy likes a gift so after awhile open up the door for conversation and if they feel toxic give them time to provide themselves with an " antidote". There is over a billion people in the world so try to make it work but if they reject the conversation then say good bye for good. In england they do this all the time its called reconciliation vs farewell. Give them the choice between leaving and starting over. Love is beautiful but pain is also gorgeous.

About 2 years ago I had my first boyfriend, he was cute, popular, everything you wanted in a boy. I just loved the feeling of knowing someone cares about me and wants to see me everyday and loves me. He made me feel so special and one day he randomly told me he was moving on and a few weeks later started dating another girl. Now idk about you but being replaced is not the best thing in life I absolutely despised him in my mind but every time he would talk to me I felt like he cared about me and I just wanted to sit there and talk to him for ever. Anyways cut to 6 months from right now I moved on and (he moved away) and I was with someone new. Now this guy was a bit different I loved how he would always treat me so nicely around his friends and he’d often get into fights with them just so we could be alone. I always watched him get mad at his friends and make them feel bad, I was always thinking how he was a bit harsh on them. Then one day I was talking to his friend and he asked me what my snap was I gave him it as a friendly gesture not thinking much about it now I don’t know if he took it the wrong way but he randomly the next day we were hanging out and he got super mad at me, I didn’t know why so I said why are you being such a dick and I guess he got mad at me. I just feel so broken because over the past six months he was my everything I waited around for 3 hours a day to meet him downtown he just made me feel so special and I knew he was just messing with me and he probably didn’t think it was as serious as I did and I hate that so much because I just was so obsessed with being around him and I just felt like he was getting tired of me Idk just some advice to guys girls have feelings we aren’t toys we want you to be obsessed with us!!! Even though we don’t show it we are obsessed with you and we love you even if we don’t say it.

Over a year ago now, I came across this video. I watched it at least 3-4 times a week or whenever I felt the urge to text my ex shortly after our breakup (which happened due to his insatiable need/desire to cheat incessantly). This video was a kick in the pants but I needed to hear it.
