“If you are caught DOPING, you should be BANNED for LIFE!” 🥊 Barry McGuigan | Up Front

This is Up Front with Simon Jordan. A new show brought to you by William Hill that pulls no punches and tells it EXACTLY like it is.
This week we are joined by the ‘Clones Cyclone,’ Barry McGuigan. An Olympian and a former world champion who helped to heal a desperately divided country, Barry joins the show to discuss his illustrious career both in and out of the ring.
In 1985, 19 million people sat down to watch Barry win his first world title against Eusebio Pedroza, creating a level of fanfare and intrigue that boxing will never see again. In this eye-opening episode Barry opens up on his life full of extraordinary success and incredible tragedy.

Frampton was a traitor. Now read on.. In testimony, Mr Frampton said he was not aware of the allegations that MTK was a “front” for a criminal organisation. Mr McGuigan revealed how he and his family received abusive messages from trolls prior to the start of the trial. But he was “happy” that people were then able to hear his and promoter son Blain’s side of the story during the trial. The end.

I was at ringside when Barry won his world title. He was brilliant that night. he could have reigned for a long time but for Barny Eastwood. How could he let Barry fight Cruz in that heat. CRAZY. God bless you Barry.

Absolute living legend. I was 10 years old, watching Barry win that world title live on terrestrial TV. The worst case of butterflies ever What he done for the people north and south in Ireland at that time cannot be put into words. Everyone came together when Barry was fighting. There was peace, if only for a short time. No one was injured or Murdered when Barry was fighting on T.V

Great memory of watching Barry beat Pedrosa for world title on tv , what a fighter , pleasure to hear his informative insight and honesty on fighters passed and present . His memory of the opponent dying was so heart felt , then you have Deontay Wilder saying he would like a body on his record.

I was intrigued to watch this because Barry and his son seemed to have fell out quite strongly with some in the boxing world over the years. I wanted to weigh up Barry and see if some of the negative rumblings ive heard could show up here with him but I've got to say he came across as a brilliant bloke with good morals and a good heart. Great interview and going on face value Barry seems a lovely guy who has done Ireland and his family proud.

Lol..Simon, please stop telling the world and its mother about your personal successes! No one is listening to you because of that. Ask some direct and uncomfortable questions, stop talking and allow time for a proper answer. Stop interrupting. It's not a q&a if there is no answer!
