Just got out of IF (the first movie as a family we watched together), and thought it was really a heartfelt film. It was better than I thought it was going to be. I was sitting next to my 6 year old daughter and thoroughly enjoyed it.

They filmed the first Strangers movie 10 minutes from my grandparents home in Florence South Carolina

If my husband has one unpopular movie opinion it is that he thinks Cutthroat Island was an absolute blast. I can't say that it was for me, but he went to see it in theaters twice. Mind you, he also had a crush on Geena Davis at the time, so he had an extra incentive to see it. Thank you, as always, for your content, James. You and Dan Murrell are my favorite critics.

Is it cynical to say that there's a low bar to success for CG animated features from the big studios? Any shit they throw against the wall tends to succeed.

Couldn't care less about modern movies mostly... can't wait for my NARC 4K!

I felt the same way about these movies coming out. I had a chance to see them but decided not to go. I already have tix for Furiousa.

Strangers was just bad bad.

Wicked will make a lot of money over Thanksgiving but the question is how will people react to it only being half of a film (a part one). Twisters from Universal is set up to be a surprise hit but the only thing that might be a problem for that film is that Deadpool and Wolverine is the next weekend but perhaps the audiences won't overlap.

Dune didn't really emphasize that it was part of a trilogy but it made money. Honestly, same with Avengers Infinity War. There was no "To Be Continued" at the end.

The WICKED trailers look fantastic! But this is coming from someone who has read the novel twice (and its sequels) and I’ve seen the Broadway show 8 times; so yeah… might be for me, James, and not your masculine sensibilities. Thank you for the box office report; today’s generation does not know what “Fall Guy” means, or familiar with the tv show (as we are - 53 years and climbing) so I’m not surprised it hasn’t done boffo BO (trailers didn’t help) but let’s hope Ryan R and Hugh J can save the day with Deadpool/Wolverine 😊
