FYI: The M28U and the ASUS VG28UQL1A have the same panel. So performance & colour wise they perform almost the same. But the M28 is indeed cheaper.

The only difference is that the VG28U is a 10bit panel. Robey got that spec wrong.

I just bought the VG28 today on amazon for $550 so now it’s way cheaper

I have this monitor for a year now, i love it, he is right about how washout the colors look but if you play around with the colors you can get really awesome image, i have 4 setting for my PS5, for fps, movies, and racing,you'll see a difference the more you work with the settings, HDR is a scam it will washout colors , there are video for this monitor so you can calibrate it to your liking

I just bought this ..haven’t got it yet ..I updated my astro a50 wen the series x came out ..With that being said ,my Astro a50 will work with this monitor on hdmi 2.1..With my xbox series x.I assuming it should ?

@@armen1136 it’s great! ……… after making sure I have proper settings and up to date drivers for GPU, firmware for monitor and watched Jayztwocents video about Nvidia control center settings. I was initially having blackouts like a driver was being installed randomly but after doing all the above and then making sure I have a Vesa certified DP 1.4 cable, all is well.

@@jessehughes88 Awesome! I was going to get the Samsung G70A but I’ve heard mixed things about it and it doesn’t support the full bandwidth of HDMI 2.1. This one seems like a better option

Does the image look blurry , xbox series x?

Would be really helpful to compare this to the Samsung Odyssey G7 28" IPS... Anybody know if the Samsung will do full rate HDMI 2.1 with PS5 ? I understand the M28U will only do 60Hz...

The Samsung supports 40gb of bandwidth, which is all the current consoles go up to. The PS5 currently only supports 32gb or bandwidth but there is supposed be an update this year that brings it up to 40gb.

Been looking for a monitor for my xbox series x. Says i need a HDMI 2:1 to get the best quality. Do you have any recommendations? Almost brought an eve monitor but they seem to just take your money and never release

I have this monitor and it’s pretty sweet! However I find I’m having some issues with the screen randomly going black for a split second occasionally as if I’m installing a driver. I’m not sure what the cause is but I’m believing it may have something to do with the refresh rate and the display port cable that I’m using (the one that came with it in the box) I ordered some new ones rated at 80Gbps so I should have no issues between the monitor and the ROG-Strix GeForce RTX 3080 Ti OC edition that I have to push image to it. I find right now when I put it in 120Hz it doesn’t seem to black out but at 144Hz it does. So I’m hoping it’s just a cable issue because I really like the monitor.

@@WTFLUCKI Overall it’s a great monitor, highly recommended. The issue only happens when I try to play Warzone and it switches to 120fps. As soon as you click the Warzone app there will be a black screen for about 8 seconds then it switches to 120 fps then you’re all good. That’s the only issue I experienced.

It’s not $799 for me it’s 934 and higher. Thought it would be the same price I see here on your channel

They need to update this monitor. JUST the screen... OLED. MINI LED. QD OLED. SOMETHING along those lines... Everything else can stay the same. I'm holding out on buying any new high tech monitor so they can.

From what I have seen in reviews it’s on par with it.

10:26. If I’m going to use something that costs me a grand AND is over 32 inches I might as well save my money and use my C1 as a monitor 🤔😬. While that’s good the point for me is for something not very big suggesting people use a 42inch as a monitor is most cases in kinda dumb…. most gamers are looking for something between 24 and 32 inch monitors… come on pal 🙄.

Well in 2022 most Monitors will be HDR 600 but don’t expect HDR1000 for a 28” Monitor because most HDR 1000 Monitors are 43” and over

I got this and found out m28u is cheaper and slightly better. im disappointed I saw theese videos after I ordered it

@@callumyt69 I ended up keeping the Samsung odyssey g7 28inch flat screen. I think for using it for the Series X it does everything i need it to do. I will say, every now and then i get one row of pixels that will turn red. From top to bottom just a line of red. But, if i tap the screen it goes away lol. I think it will get me through until more options come up. So over all it’s worth it. One feature i never thought I would use was the built in cross hair, but thanks to BF2042 and the disappearing weapons, i have thrown it on a few time and it definitely got me to the end of the match.

I play with a asus 4k 60hz monitor and I can’t tell the difference between that and a 144hz

I just upgraded from a 4k 60hz monitor to this 144hz monitor. Minus the speed, the graphics are a lot sharper . I heard of this happening but now I see it with my own eyes. Now when its paired with a Next Gen console, the speed will apply

was interested - now no longer. I will keep my 27" Asus ROG 2k IPS and my Asus 27" ROG 2k NT panel until Asus comes out with a better 4k gaming monitor with better black levels, colors and HDR improved. thanks.

Too much bleeding !! HDR is shit !!! Terrible customer service!! Should tell you if the monitor needs a firmware update just for hdr !!!! My Xbox series X screen just kept bugging out! Better alternatives at better price
