If Mirror's Edge was made in 1998

Oh, hello there! Today we'll take a peek at how Mirror's Edge might've looked like, if it was released for the original PlayStation in 1998.

Going through rings is the only gameplay... sound fimailar? (Superman 64 came out the next year) there were many good first person games at the time I just think Mirrors edge would of been better than just going through rings

It's so interesting how the color scheme of Mirrors Edge on its own is so distinct to the time it came out, like I couldn't imagine a game from 98 with that aesthetic. That said you killed it with the DEMAKE as always

It's so true, the aesthetics of Playstation games in the 90s was just use any random combination of colors. xD Some good examples are Assault Rigs or Wipeout XL.

I think considering the minimalism being a defining feature of the game it would have really stood out back then (not unlike as is did when it came out). Liiks like Spiderman PSone :D

gosh it's so convincing that you could tell me that this is running on an actual ps1 and i would not doubt you. and i played on that system quite a bit back in the day.

I have a suggestion for a video! “if subway surfers was made in 1998.” I was playing it just now and thought to myself: “It would be so cool to see what this game would look like on PS1”!

I’m convinced this guy has a portal to an alternate dimension where all these games really were made in 1998 and he just brings them back to our dimension to profit from showing them to us

This is amazing! Even the music would be suitable for the time, knowing that if music genres like Solar Fields isn't a thing yet back in 1998.

This is perfect, with the aliasing, texture warping, Gouraud shading, and posterization/dithering. The only thing that gives away it isn't a PSX game is the cyan/magenta posterization because of the extra bit for green of 16-bit RGB, where the PSX used 15-bit RGB plus a 1-bit mask. ;)
