In today’s video I go over the best way to grow your sports card selling journey in 2024! There are so many ways to grow in sports cards and these ideas and suggestion would be my own personal ways to actually grow and make those leaps to better your reselling journey for Sports Cards!
The trifecta!
1.) eBay! eBay is king go for 3-10$ cards in the value bins, online deals, or even in your own collection start there! Start listing daily! Do 5 cards a day or whatever you can a lot to post there and still be able to source and list at the same rate, I started with 10 and saw HUGE results!
2.) buysportscards! You can usually find a ton of super amazing deals on super low end cards that you then can post on the buy sports cards platform and build a decent selection for the best available prices and start to recoup money slowly over time. Especially the larger the inventory you get posted on there!
3.) whatnot! I’m currently only posting / selling my new inventory on whatnot as this has seemed to be my personal favorite project and way to actually sell sports cards at the current time. I really enjoy the aspect of not having to list all of the cards and just being able to rapid fire get rid of inventory and over time growing and selling stuff for higher than you could’ve gotten, I also believe in the online selling marketplaces and their inevitable growth in the future so me taking this chance and risk the earliest for me is the best for me at the moment.
WHEN BUYING LARGE LOTS ALWAYS TRY TO ASK IF THE SELLER HAS ANYMORE CARDS THEY WANT TO SELL! Some of the BEST deals you can find is because of the add ons you can find just by asking this question and by adding these higher dollar cards usually they’ll be more willing to give better deals on the lot because you are clearing out a LOT of their lower end stuff they might not be wanting anymore. Some people have BASEMENTS full of these cards so asking for a nice discount isn’t much for them when they know they have so much extra as well.
GRADING CARDS!!! Trying to figure out the better cards that have higher returns when you grade them and actually determining what cards are gradable and aren’t can be the BIGGEST return on your investment.
SELLING TO RESELLERS / REPACKERS!
If anything and you don’t want to do the work you can always find people like me who have the connections and people who are willing to buy all of these cards whether it be to sell themselves

It’s hard to gauge how much a huge collection would be worth. It all really just depends on how you sell it out. If you sell it to someone in one swoop, then typically someone is going to offer you about 50% or so of the full value of your collection. If you piece it out and put in the work you might be able to up that percentage to about 60-70% of the value or so of the collection. It really just depends: it’s hard to put an exact price on huge collections, especially because there could be a lot of upside in grading some of the cards you may have, especially the vintage ones :)

If you haven’t already, Make sure you subscribe so you can get enjoy more content :) and it realty just depends; you can find cards worth 1$ or less that could potentially be worth it to grade, you could find cards worth even 1,000$. The main thing you want to look for / at when grading is if the card you graded end up getting the lower end of the grade you think the card will get, what would it sell for and how much would you lose / would you still be in profit. I actually even have a video out about the type of cards I personally would look / try to submit for psa grading. It’s called “STOP GRADING THESE CARDS AND GRADE THESE INSTEAD” or something along those lines was uploaded probably within the last 2 weeks.

@@isbilly1 make sure you subscribe if you haven’t already so you can enjoy more content in the future :) I’m looking to get it graded first, but I can keep you updated on what it graded and see if you might be interested in it after it comes back, it’s actually an error card it’s not his rookie year and the card says “rookie ink” and the highest graded of the card is a psa 8 so I figured even if it graded an 8 it would add a nice premium to it
