I think he wanted to do a swap, he had the intention of swapping if the player on the card was a monster like Brady, or Mahomes, or Lawrence, etc. So I think once they saw it wasnt a big name they brought the card back onscreen. Only way I'd do it if it was an expensive box or break where you'd go in for 20-50 and get at least a pack or so. Whereas to get in at a card shop itd be like $200. Or like it's a break where you get a whole team. Or a gamble break where you can take a whole box or more if your pack has the lowest number or whatever preset conditions were met. Sometimes it's worth it. To take a whole box or case by pulling the lowest numbered card. If somebody doesn't have the money to buy boxes and boxes they can come up. I would do it if it was a set I liked or trying to get some low number card.

It 100% definitely looks suspicious, BUT if you pause this video at 1:33 and look closely at the border of the Downtown card, you can see that it's upside down, and what is visible matches up pretty well with the coral reef and the sand on the right edge of the card as seen at 3:02 in the video. It's harder to tell with the video quality here, but I'd put some money on it being the Waddle card and the breaker just being wildly careless when recording the break. Honestly, it would probably make a lot more sense to either just set up a camera to record from above looking down at the table to get a much larger viewing area, or record it from top and front angles and keep the top angle recording as a backup for situations like this.

Selling them on Ebay is the only way to get the most money out of them bc if you try to sell to a card shop, they can't pay you the highest comps. They have to have room to make money on it themselves. They assume a bunch of risk buying high end cards of current players bc if that player gets hurt next week, the cards value takes a 30% dive. You've got to remember when selling to a business. They aren't buying for a collection. It's a business to them. Another issue with selling on eBay though is that people don't want to pay big dollars for a card from someone with 0 feedback

Unfortunately the hobby and secondary market have made if near impossible for the averaged income collector to purchase some of higher tear products. Whether they do it for an investment or grow a collection, for some, the only way they can have a once in forever chance of pulling a top rookie RPA or solething like that would be to buy a spot in a break. So really we should be careful just throwing shade at all breakers and stearing ppl away. Buy instead encourage and even promote breakers like pacman or Layton sports cards or idk any of The big ones that you’ve watched and feel comfortable with. But if someone consistently gets put on blast for potentially scamming and idiots still buy from them? Yeah they’re dumb. the human psychology here is fascinating. if you read between the lines in the apology note at 4:11, the breaker justifies stealing the card because it was a new client, only “in his second break”. so the customer didn’t deserve the card anyway, because they had not spent enough money breaking with him yet. amazing how the mind of a thief can always justify the theft.

People stop paying people to steal your money and just open card's for yourself. Everyone has at least 3-5 different store's near them walmart, target, toy's are us, and Myers ect. We also have ebay, internet to access walmart, target and online stores to purchase a box 📦.

  • @scottiedulin

Soon as that card went off camera , all integrity of that breaker was lost. Don’t care if it was the same card or not as we will never know for certain. You can blame it on emotions or whatever but you can’t take the card off camera. If he was so worried about it being stuck , should of shown the back of the DT first so all there knew who it was beforehand.

This is an example of why everyone should not be in business. It takes more than reselling at more than you paid. Sole proprietor and small LLC needs to know business math and understand that small means you need to build trust, you don't have corporate money to buy it. When your break looks like a rigged carnival game you can't build trust. Breaking is going to change at some point to another corporate run monopoly. The bigger breakers aren't acting legit, more like funneling cards to family and friends on the dime of others. Now is not the time for sloppy presentations. It was strange not seeing or hearing packs opened
