@@abbychuma4668 I agree. I don’t think there are a whole lot of people sitting around watching KZread videos, who can afford all the high-end products influencers use, and recommend. If we could afford high-end makeup and beauty products, we wouldn’t be sitting home watching videos 😆 we’d be out shopping and doing things. MOST people can only afford drugstore makeup. That’s the world we live in today. Most countries’ economies are borderline recessions, inflation is through the roof in most countries, people’s electric/water/grocery/gas/phone bills have skyrocketed. I’m so over feeling bad because I can’t afford the high-end products influencers recommend. I watch the videos mainly to get makeup shade, and makeup look ideas, then I buy, and use, drugstore products to replicate the looks. I know I’m not alone in feeling this way. 😊

@@EnvyBlu I watch KZread videos in my free time or on breaks from work because I LOVE makeup. I’ve definitely started splurging on makeup from Sephora every now and then around the time of the sales events but I wouldn’t ever splurge on like Chanel or Gucci beauty products. But I am in a spot right now where I’m not spending so much money on makeup and repurchasing stuff from the drugstore

@@abbychuma4668 I think drugstore makeup has improved tremendously over the last 5 years. There’s really no reason to spend a fortune on cosmetics. Some of those high-end products’ prices are totally price gouging and greed. Sure some of the high-end powders are soft and “buttery” feeling, but definitely not 70 dollars worth lol 😆 Drugstore companies are catching on to the “buttery” feeling powders, so there are more products like that at the drugstore these days. I just don’t think there’s any reason to buy those grossly overpriced products 🤷🏻‍♀️ Women do that to compete with each other, but none of us can tell by looking at someone if they’re wearing Chanel or L’Oréal when we pass each other on the street. And nobody’s going to walk up to you and say “ooo is that Chanel foundation you’re wearing?” 😂 so why bother buying it?

I have reduced my collection to the bare minimum, and couldn't be more happy with it. No decision fatigue anymore, just workhorse products that do the job. Products I would rebuy asap if I were in this hypothetical scenario would be: Nars Creamy Concealer, a neutral powder blush, mascara and a lip balm/gloss. :)

Someone stole my luggage at Vancouver airport from the carousel in 2019 and I had brand new makeup products because it was just after the Sephora sale. Instant and expensive makeup declutter!

@@mirandawebb I was. I am never one to rush to get my luggage - I was standing back with the group I travelled with. For my upcoming trip I am getting air tags and being one of those people who rushes to get their luggage. Also I itemized every thing in my suitcase - so eye opening to see how much I spend on clothes , shoes and makeup . And I don’t even clothes that qualify as luxury .

I’ll be honest. The lip liner surprised me- VB#2 has been replaced lol. I would get me some supergoop glow, CT contour stick, (haven’t gotten elf yet!) Nars liquid blush in either dolce vita or Torrid, NYX serum concealer, tower 28 foundation, chanel powder, MUF Anywhere caffeine lip liner, Dior lip oil, Stila kitten highlighter, Tom ford bad ass mascara, hourglass eyebrow pencil, benefit 24 hour brow setter. Natasha Denona glam palette or mini nude. Lol It was cocoa mirage first. I hunted that palette foreverrrrr. Still pissed about it lol. Still mad about Mario ethereal eyes too. And don’t get me started on Lancome Absolue setting powder. I’m savoring my very last bits.

I have reduced my makeup in the last 2 years. I don’t have a lot of choices and that is good.What I have is all used weekly and/or daily and beautiful products.

Blush would be the toughest category for me. I wear so many different shades and layer them on the regular.

Before the video begins, I’m guessing it’s got to include a VB lip liner in 02 and either, or maybe both!, Chanel water fresh tint or CT Beautiful Skin. Benefit porefessional Spay, maybe Fix + in Coconut (if you can still get it) and the Nyx eyebrow gel. 😂 Edit: I did terribly!! 😂 I’m not an influencer yet somehow I seem to have a whole dedicated beauty room full of makeup from Mecca and Sephora. It’s ridiculous. I’ve decided i’m going to cut back because i can’t possibly use it all.

I made a comment previously that you “made me” buy Givenchy powder and I’m regretting it. Taking my words back! I guess I was in early tretinoin days 😀 now I love it! And Chanel foundation as well (probably will never go back to any other).

Re: The itchy neck, I know you recently started using tretinoin. If I apply the tretinoin to my face and then add moisturizer and take it to my neck the residual tretinoin from my hands make my neck SUPER itchy and irritated.

After crying a billion tears I would run e repurchase my Rare Beauty mascara, my Ilia color haze muti pigment, Nyx brow pen and lip pencil (which is the one you recommended), Tarte cheek stain, and RMS beauty concealer.

Whenever I use hair sprays I always put a robe on because I have found they always irritate my skin if it gets on my chest or arms.

I can look good with $50 makeup combo -- vit c serum, tinted spf, powder, blush, eye makeup and lipstick. Tinted spf can act as concealer and foundation already. And this would last me the whole day with only a lipstick for retouch.

I left my makeup at home before I went on a bachelorette party and was SO SAD!! had to rush to sephora and it hurttt but I guess I would have bought it all when it ran out anyway 😂

I couldn't find the Armani Eye Tint in the shade 39 on Sephora. Is it actually 36 matte?
