I would actually consider the protein powder. It wrecks my stomach long term with the sweeteners.

Have you tried a non whey protein powder? Redcon Mre and Mre light taste great and don’t upset my stomach. You cake bake with them too.

I’m so obsessed with your fashion journey, because I can really see how intentional you are with the pieces you choose. I know most of the reason why my wardrobe isn’t the way I want it to be is because I can’t afford to buy the new pieces I need, I have hope that one day I’ll get there! And I’ve seen you do it first so thank you!

Protein powders and creatinine do cause gas and fartism.....Just add some alkaline diet (coconut water, probiotic drink, herbal teas with mint in it, apple cider vinegar)

From a fellow lady with an angry tummy- rice was a major culprit for me. Which was a major bummer 😢 because a rice bowl loaded with veg and a protein is my favorite meal. I tried quinoa as an alternative and still had gut issues.

I would be curious if you stopped all supplementation and vitamins if your indigestion woes would stop. I think your diet is so spot on that you are likely going over on things like vitamin C which can cause stomach and intestine irritation.

Allana, that makeup base was/is 🔥🔥…I literally purchased some of the products I didn’t already have for my month and half trip to Japan and Korea leaving in a few days. I love it because the products are minimal to combat the heat/humidity over there 😂😂. ❤❤❤❤

Gal I’m so sorry to say this but the thing irritating you is most probably dairy and gluten rather than the fodmaps if you’re getting significant gas. Gluten free oats are great (take some getting used to) Worth stripping out sugar, gluten and all dairy for a month (similar to the Candida diet) hitting the probiotics and some disgestive enzymes per meal, maybe some HCL acid supplements as well. I had the same thing as you’ve described but unfortunately sugar (from dairy and gluten as well) is usually the culprit.

Those spring rolls looked delicious 😋! You could probably make some good money if you sold them, e.g. on a farmer’s market! I’m just curious, what kind of mustard do you use? All of the ones here are packed with sugar. Excited to see where it is that you’re going and with whom… 💕

Have you considered you might be lactose intolerant, Allana? (Like a majority of adults across the world, except the lucky ones who have a genetic modification.) Since you eat a lot of dairy, that might be it. Maybe try taking Lactaid or something equivalent when eating dairy and seeing if that improves your issues? I know for me, I’ll be sick with dairy without fail, unless I take a lactase supplement with it, then I’m fine.

I love your recipe vids, and this one was hilarious to boot 💨 -- thanks Lan! When I was having protein powder daily, my stomach strongly objected to the sweetener (xylitol, erythritol and even Stevia). I wonder if that's a factor for you, too? Will definitely be making some of these xx

Whey protein destroys my stomach. If you’re lactose intolerant then the whey protein is absolutely causing a lot of stomach discomfort. Whey is Milk if you didn’t know. Even plant based protein powders with pea protein still destroys my stomach. Not sure if it’s they way they are processed. I’m lactose intolerant so makes sense why whey protein would bother my stomach but even the plant based do too.. I have to just find other ways to get my protein because the protein powders are a big no for me. I love lentils but they do give me gas🙁 I sometimes just deal with it because I love them and use them for protein & fiber. They don’t make me miserable with cramps like the protein powder just a little extra air…Lol

Just an fyi shallots are definitely high fodmap as it has fructans. They say you can have the green parts of spring onions (green onions/scallions), chives, or the green leaves of leeks on low fodmap.❤ As a few other mentioned whey protein powder has dairy in it as whey is obtained from milk so it’s probably not great for lactose intolerance. 😅 Figuring out gut issues is such a journey. I still struggle sigh. 😢 wish you lots of success in resetting your tummy! ❤
