Side benefit of being an occasional wheelchair user is that on some days you spare yourself that “avoiding tile cracks” unbalanced stride that your brain just will not stop doing (had my condition for decades and unexpected sympathy can weird out my brain. So just imagine me gliding over the floor without stepping on cracks without having to work at it, on a day it feels like I’d be working at it. Whoosh, straight to the tomato sauce!

Seems you have broken... 274,961 ligaments in your moms back 😊
Man: When's the baby due? Woman: Oh, I'm not pregnant. I just swallowed some watermelon seeds a few months ago.
I remember in elementary school some kids would would purposefully step on cracks to prove it wasn’t true. Then one day a kid said his mom had actually broken her back and we all were extra careful that day.

Yeah I had heard that before too. As an adult I had that fear too til years ago. I step on cracks, my mom is fine. I just learned not to let lies control how I walk and do things. Jesus rocks.
I also feel like the ‘floor was made of lava’ took on a real threat for many of us.

@mrsmack5808

I don't consider that one a superstition. Stepping on a sidewalk crack definitely won't break your mother's back but water is a good conductor of electricity and does slightly increase your odds of getting zapped during a thunderstorm. I have an electrical issue in my house that we haven't been able to sort out yet and I get shocked every time I touch any kitchen appliance that is plugged in if my hands are even slightly damp and the water tap is on. Even if I bump an appliance like the microwave with my elbow while washing dishes. It's so frustrating.

I’m still careful with escalators though… there was a young child who in the Alaska JC Penny in 2009 who lost a finger, and I’m also wary of elevators and always get in and out quickly because at that same JC Penny back in 1991, a woman was crushed to death in the elevator.

But these invisible little men would follow me everywhere I'd go and I was afraid of them. So I imagined them running after our family van. And sometimes I worried that they would outrun the van and jump in it and kidnap me 😂 so I would will my parents to drive faster. I was a weird little kid haha

Showering in a storm is actually dangerous. If your house gets hit by lightning it can travel through the pipes and electrocute you. All the other ones are gold! I never heard of the flushing ice to have a snow day!

Showering in thunderstorms can be legitimately dangerous. Lightning can travel through the plumbing and into the water/shower. Albeit rare, but can still be deadly.

@@samanthanorton4538 the plumbing doesn’t have to me metal, water acts as a very good conductor. So even with PVC pipe, the water can still carry the current through them. Again, it’s rare, but certainly possible. If there is water present, you can still be shocked/electrocuted. Washing dishes and using the sink in general can do the same thing.
