I really don’t know how this would affect the KZread algorithm for you guys, but I’d be all for a relaxed after-show akin to the story time we had with this video. I usually watch while I paint so I’d enjoy it

I live near Sally in the Woods and know all those roads you mention! Take a team visit to The King Arms in Monkton Farleigh, just behind those woods. It’s ancient and reputed to be one of the most haunted pubs in the UK. Fwiw, it’s a gorgeous pub with great food and a community stake in the ownership. It’s worth a visit, ghosts or no.

Make sure you use exploding 6s over rerolling 1s for the thrallmaster! It's always better mathematically as the rerolls can fail but the 6s are another wound (why gw did this no idea, he really has two stances not three) . Great video love the battle reports.

Nobody does this but you can do mortals on 6’s with the priest soulscryer and reroll 1’s with thrallmaster. Only explanation that I found.

Actually, reroll 1's has it's place. if you are going to be rolling on 2's to hit, the difference in damage is, like, ~14% more damage vs. ~17%. I don't know about you, but I don't really care about that 3%. The difference is, you roll more dice with reroll 1's on the hit roll, so it's more consistent. I use it all the time to try to offset my bad luck. and if I got lotan, the turtle, and CPs to juice my thralls, who are doing 2 damage per attack on 2's, rend AT LEAST -1 (maybe more with sea Eidolon or Purple Sun), I don't really care whether I overkill my target by 5 wounds instead of 2-3. I just want to consistently hit that average. I'll YOLO an exploding 6s unit if I got 5 thralls left against an elite unit, and I def pick it more often than reroll 1s, but I like the consistency, at times. But only when I'm rolling 2s to hit. Math doesn't work out otherwise.

Enjoyable watch as always. Always enjoy seeing more AoS content ^^ I know some people will blame the one sided'ness of this battle on "the double turn". But facts are that Nighthaunt function on their charge debuffs, and also on having retreat & charge. So going first and putting your whole army right in front of the enemy army, not charging, and knowing that double turns exist... that was basically asking for a bad time..

@@fletchdub Yeah it seems horrendously balanced from a competitive perspective and like it failed in making it easier for beginners. Hopefully the codices will fix it but making all wargear free feels like a terrible move.

Firstly I really enjoy the fact that you guys started playing aos. Secondly is there any possibility we will at some point see some skaven action on your channel

We do have some Skaven Reports over on our website, I thought we had one here too on KZread? We have paused Sigmar for a bit to build up some more armies and do some Old World/other game coverage too, but we’ll return in the future :)

Hey Chef, you alright getting enough sleep etc?

I am mainly a competetive AoS player. I play in a club that has multiple Team USA players in it so its a good basis, but honestly we like the GHB. The general feeling I get from the club isnt "This GHB makes my army bad therefore its a bad GHB" but its more of a "These missions are fun, how can we make a list to play these effectively." The AoS scene is very much in favor of fun>COMPLETE balance in my experience

Sounds like you guys need an energy drink sponsor. I'd normally recommend a g related powder but it'd be cooler if you grabbed life by the bawls.

Never liked the double turn mechanic. We tend to play without it at my LGS. :) Loved the ghost story!

My understanding is that idoneth deepkin are unstoppable after turn 3, and if you want to win just take 18 eels and a guy on a fish

This was definitely true in second edition but they're a middle-bottom tier army nowadays. These fishies are squishy and so they die very easily.

I mean I love the AoS content but that seemed a bit one-sided...not fun

AoS model range is so much better
