When I was a kid many decades ago all of the gas stations had attendants. They would fill the tank, clean the windows and check the oil and tire pressure if you asked them. I miss that kind of service.

230 - that is something I have always feared encountering on the road - the uncovered manhole. Would be what some call a prank to do that. 610 my other great fear on the road. Being plowed under from behind at 80 mph by an oblivious driver. Sure, I would win the lawsuit but being paralyzed for life, it is no prize.

No, but it’s potentially a very hazardous manoeuvre unless on a dual carriageway (where lane discipline ought to make it safe). On a single carriageway road, if carried out in a dangerous manner, it could result in a prosecution. To carry out such an overtake will require a long, straight and clear piece of road with no minor junctions. another answer It isn't illegal to overtake any number of cars but the practicalities of dealing with roads with bends that limit visibility. and another answer Nope. It can be illegal if done carelessly or dangerously, but it's not itself illegal. so uk no laws regarding it but other laws you could get charged with if it considered careless or dangerous and both them will give a insurance rate hike up to 40-50% and taken in to account a general speed ticket not crazy high speed just tad over that 3 points and a fine but insurance that about a 10% rise so insurance feels speeding is not as bad careless and here few reason you can get a careless. Careless or inconsiderate driving, driving too close to another vehicle. driving through a red light by mistake. turning into the path of another vehicle. the driver being avoidably distracted by tuning the radio, lighting a cigarette etc. and last few like radio or lighting a cig that if you struggling to stay safe by no staying in lane as example. so if no law regarding how many you can pass other laws still may get you if you were doing it what was not safe place
