I am not sure if Pakistanis know this. In India, states were created on basis of language. Tamil Nadu is for Tamil speaking people, Andhra Pradesh is for Telugu speaking people, like wise Karnataka (Kannada language), Kerala (Malayalam), Maharashtra (Marathi), Odisha (Odiya) and so on. So as an Indian, I find it strange that Pakistan thinks that linguistic diversity will cause divisions in the state. Regardless of which language we speak, our primary identity is still Indian.

@Riju Sau It was not necessary until now and not needed.. Isn't it strange that the hindi belt will not have to learn a new language while the rest of the country should? Hindi speakers will expect people coming to their state to speak hindi and the heights of stupidity is if they go to south they expect the host state to speak in hindi also. We are unique and are beautiful in our own way. If I want I will learn hindi or bengali or punjabi based on my necessity. Similarly if someone comes to the south they should learn the local language.

@Riju Sau Sure we can promote Sanskrit. But there should not be any legislation on unified national language. Let people talk in the language they want to. As on date, there is NO national language. What we have are official languages, for govt correspondence. Few states have multiple official languages.

Why will the people whose whole power rely on oblivious public take any step to educate people?it's all thanks to free access to information that people are more aware of the scenirio.I see many Indians commenting in this comment section but there analysis of the whole situation seems slightly off the mark.Right now even if we know the reality and think critically,the situation might still take quite long to improve or we might have to go through a bloody revolution.Well,we still are optimistic though as nations learn from there mistakes to improve and set a better future course of action and moral values.let's see how the future unfolds because the power dynamics of Pakistan are already really very distorted at this point.

I don't know about Islam that much ..but one thing that i do know is that ..Qur'an dictates women to stay at home in every single situation except for pooping .i think it was revealed in verses of hijab , since these verses are not abrogated it will imply that any education for women allowed by Qur'an is homeschooling ,if allowed at all . Unless you reject verses of hijab in which cases BELIEVE ME you don't want sharia near you . Also when women do have to go outside .. it's compulsory that she is escorted by male member of family .

And now people of pakistan are searching for their identity!! Who deserves to claim their indegenous identity, if u people are not? A land that gave oldest literature, university, civilization to the mankind are facing identity crisis😢. Lets accept some more truth... BLOODIEST INVASION IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND- Islamic conquest of india ( According to "will Durant") and the land facing highest atrocities was the west part of undivided india i.e. PAKISTAN. Atrocities faced by rest of india is much lesser than west because from there only invaders enters in india. As a result , west part of undevided india i.e pakistan was looted economically, literature destroyed, persecuted mentally and forced to change their ethnicity and cultre under the threat of sword. Inspite of of someone who doesn't agree with everything that Gandhi says , I would choose and support Gandhi over RSS or savarkar. However I understand why people are getting intolerant and extremists. Why BJP and RSS are on rise. Hidutva is not an ideology or religion in itself. It comes as reaction to exploitation and annihilation done to the people of the indigenous culture and land . Been constantly ignoring this video in my recommendation but I am blown away by this man. He has in depth knowledge on this topic. I am from hindi belt and I am lucky enough to stay in different states so can speak broken Bengali, nepali, telugu, Punjabi and multiple local dialect methali/awadhi(my mom N dad speak in it), haryanvi, rajasthani on top of it Hindi and English as well. Each of this language has their own history/culture and so does our South languages and our North East languages. So imposing one language on all is forcing them to give up their culture, history their story. Imposing it will not make them love it people will tend to hate it more and will feel alienated. I can be a proud Assamese, nagamese, Bengali, bihari, marathi, odia, nepali, telugu, Tamil, kannad, malayali, gujarati, Punjabi, Pahadi but I can still be proud indian.

As someone from outside the Hindi belt, I am relieved to here you understand why Hindi imposition is wrong. If I were ever to go to UP I would never expect them to learn my mother tongue. Imposing Hindi on non-Hindi speaking people is asking them to give up their own language, their own history.

That is biodiversity and that is natures way of telling us that Hindi should not be imposed on non hindi belt people. I hail from the Hindi belt too. I dont think many people will support Hindi imposition even in Hindi belt.

First time I have seen such an intelligent person giving such beautiful thoughts in Pakistan. Bravo and God bless!

I am actually awestruck at this man's flow of speech. Each point flowed so flawlessly. Ek baar ko paper ya placards tak nahi rakha. Kitne research ke baad ek Banda aise bol sakta hai. Hats off. It's also sad that Pakistanis think they have somewhat had a new birth out of nowhere after 1947. Like baptised and born new out of nowhere. Where in reality they were just us, eating, speaking, mentality just like us. Somehow they feel like relate to Turks who won't even accept them as permanent maids in their houses. (As pointed out by muzammil somewhere in the speech) In the larger context, the Indian subcontinent incl Bangladesh, srilanka, Nepal, Pakistan, Bhutan all have similar thinking, way of life etc. And more easy Asian countries like Vietnam Myanmar, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia have larger Chinese influence. And they don't shy away from accepting that. I mean it's a reality that you cannot run away from. It's good muzammil drilled on that point several times.

what you indians need to understand is that subcontinent is not a homogeneous regions it is a multi ethnic region made up of different racial backgrounds of people. The Pakistani ethnic groups Punjabi,Sindhi,Pashtun , Baloch, Gilgitis have nothing to do with indian ethnic groups of gangetic up bihari bengali and dravidian south indian tamil people. Pakistani ethnic groups are completely linguistically, ethnically, racially and culturally different from indian people. Try to understand this and stop obsessing over Pakistanis we don’t even look like you kala people

I am a proud Indian . I share a common room with a Pakistani brother. he told me in his childhood ,he used to go to the Nearest Madarsa and there he was being taught all the radicle things and and does not watch Television as it was harem for the Muslim . i feel very sad for those young childrens. At last i must say ,Sir Sayed you 'r one of the most educated person in Pakistan right now , the people in Pakistan need proper education not some shit that is being taught in madarsa .

The biggest takeaway from this for us Indians is that we must maintain and celebrate the diversity we have in terms of everything. So that apne hi log humko chhor k na chala jaye. The biggest identity we must have is we are Indians.

Biggest takeaway from this guy for India is that we must stop thinking India was formed in 1947. The Bharathiya civilization East of the Sindu river existed for over 10000 years. No wonder Nehru tinkered with our history too.

I'm amazed that this youth has such clarity on history, identity, and human rights. Even if 50% of Pakistani youths understand this and 25% of politicians think like this, Pakistan can become a powerful nation.
