This is so deep... In a christiam world where most preachings just affirm ideas of self-worth, we have to change to this perspective!

🕋 MUSLIM - Jesus himself Never said l am God despite this being the most important thing mankind needed to know to gain salvation ✝ CHRISTIAN - Well can you show me one verse where Jesus said l am not God ? 🕋 MUSLIM - That does not prove Jesus is God, thats like saying Jesus is superman because you cant show me a verse in which Jesus denied being superman

@@maryeve3984 in John 10:30 - Jesus said, “I and the father are one.” “[Jesus] Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant.”Philippians 2:6.

@@maryeve3984 uh… you are misinformed. Jesus said He was God multiple times in Scripture. In fact the Pharisees literally tell him that they want to stone Him, because he claims to be God (John 10:33). He claims to be God all throughout the Gospels. Matthew 26:63-64, John 8:28 just as a couple more examples.

This was so good, the more I go along in my walk with Jesus I realize more and more how much joy and fulfilment I find in listening to sermons on the glory of God and just seeing how much bigger he is than I am.

Love Piper. There seems to be something paradoxical about God glorifying himself but if you think about it, if he didn’t glorify himself, then he would either have to glorify something outside of himself or glorify nothing at all. If he was glorifying something outside of himself than whatever it is he is glorifying would be God. When God is glorified in himself through his creatures, it’s his creatures that receive the benefits of that glory. God himself receives no benefit from man glorifying him, for he is absolutely complete and perfect within himself. He is not dependent on his creatures for anything. It’s his creatures that are absolutely, exhaustively dependent on him for everything. We live and move and have our being in him.

My identity is deeply hidden in redemption - I’m bought by Christ by price. So belong to Him. My identity is driven from - in Him. All I have forever is in perfect image of God, Christ.

Christ is the Glory of God! God created man and woman for Christ, His Glory! God is making us who are born again in the image of His Glory, who is Christ our blessed Savior!! Christ is the image of God the Father, the express image of His person!! The church is the Glory of Christ just as the woman is the glory of man for she was taken out of man. So if the church misbehaves God, then she dishonors her Lord and king and robs Him of His glory!! Let's obey our Lord and love Him above all things and persons and in doing so, glorify His precious Name!! Thanks for sharing!!

Not just in the death of our body we can glorify God, but in denying to self and the world. As our Lord says, deny yourself, take up your cross and follow me is what truly brings Him glory! What does it mean to take up your cross? It means to die to your self-pleasing life and the pleasures of the things of this world! When you are willing to give all up for Christ, to die to self and carry your cross. To follow Christ means to live in obedience to God the Father as Jesus did. Pray always and read the Bible daily for the rest of your life for if you fail in these 2 simple acts, you will fall away from God to your perdition.

As Puritan John Owen said: "Be killing sin or it will be killing you." And as John Piper's mother wrote in his first Bible: "The Bible will keep you from sin, or sin will keep you from the Bible." John Piper told that story in his message entitled "The Joy of the Puritans."
